Several schools are going to move to temp locations within these few years. Daughter's school will be going to another place 200m away (whew !!) in 2013.Kissgurami:
thanks claricegoh and Janet_lee
her girl will be going for P1 at 2016 so she's planning early to shift and PV
qifa is one of the upgrading, not sure if they are moving.... -
SV will also be going through upgrading but within the premises… it will surely create alot of noise pollution and disrupt the class…
Now, they are looking at whether any possibility to move to a temp location… -

I see. So if one happens to stay within 1km of the temporary site, one won't be eligible for the \"within 1Km\" registration (even though temp site will be used for 2-3 years ie roughly half the child's lifetime in the school)? Is my understanding correct? Thanks in advance.claricegoh:
Moving temp to AMK. Will be back at the same location in 2015
Even though some schools are moving to temporary holding locations, distance from home to school is calculated based on original premise and not at temporary premises. -

Hi had a question
Have gotten through to SHPS, but understand that it is relocating to Bedok from next year for 2 years. Is it ok to relocate closer to the interim address of the school (i.e., Bedok/Tanamera) so as to reduce travel time for my kid? It will mean shifting and a lot of hassle, but was thinking that if it reduces the travel time for my kid then it may be worth the effort. 2 years is a long time
Also, MOE has the expectation for the kid to stay in the same address for primary school. I believe the primary purpose is to ensure the kid stays close to school, but if the school itself is moving, then is it a consideration? Anybody done this before? any advise? -
Hi, does anyone know if Fairfield primary is scheduled for any upgrading soon or expected to be in the next few years? I see on their website that there is some major upgrading in 2013 but cannot find any details. Would someone be able to enlighten ? Thank you!
Happy new year!!!
