And break a bigger hole in their parents' pocketConcernedparents:
Most boys do not wear canvas shoes. They usually wear track shoes or jogging shoes. Popular brands are Adidxx , Nikx , Asix etc etc. 70% need to be white and remaining 30% Blue to match with their Blue Bermuda/Pants.
Great - break free from Bata at long last !

Actually all appeals are closed by 5pm yesterday latest.
But I think they appealed already.
Btw, ngbrdad, you are one of those I followed through the story since DSA. So all the best to your DS in ACSI which is a good school and I hope he will be the selected few to transfer to ACSI IP or even RI after year 2! Don't miss those window periods. Till then, do share your ACSI stories cos I have a younger DS. Your turn to guide us :please:
Will keep you posted. -

Hi, south african,
Accelerated Science Programme is offered at secondary 3 based on secondary 2's year end results for Physical Science, Life Science and Maths. The Student must score >80 for all the above subjects and at least a B4 in Language Arts (for IB) /English (for express).
Students who meet the above criteria will have to sit for another written test and go for an interview. This year, 16 students were selected from a cohort of 400- 15 from the express stream, 1 from IP.
Acceleration will be for all 3 sciences at one go - that is, Bio, Physics and Chemistry.
Hope this helps.
cheers -
breezy:
Thanks for sharing. This is interesting. Given IP has 180 students and that they are students who scored 255 and above for PSLE, I am very surprised that only 1 qualified for accelerated Science :yikes: Is it because IP and Express have different Science and Math papers with IP papers being more difficult and harder to score 80 and above :? ? If they are having different papers and IP papers are tougher, shouldn't a lower criteria be applied for IP eg 75% :? Please enlighten.
