Why ? 😂

There are no books on history.
There is one book \"roll me thunder, hear me cry\" which is out of stock. Is this a literature book?
What other lit books will be used in the subsequent years?
Thank-you.
As far as I am aware, those 3 thick books are the only books listed in the Y1 booklist and those are the only science books that I bought. Hope this answers your question.

Any parents also bought that 3 thick Science books?
Thank-you.

Yes, my son also bought the 3 thick science book. Surprisingly same as my daughter who will be Sec 3 next year in neighborhood school.
Yup, is the same set of text neighbourhood schools using for 'O' level.
RV starts covering some topics from year 1. School dont use it word for word, students use them for reference & self study.

So there would be lots of coping notes during Science lessons?

Mostly printed notes are provided but I do see lots of scribbling on the notes.
I guess is more of tertiary style, up to students how much additional information they need to take down.
Like any school, notes are provided for all subjects and not only for Science.

Dear Parents of students pursuing their studies at RV, would like to extend my sincere and heartiest congratulation to the students and parents on their successful RV posting.

Do not be overly worried about textbooks, PE attire, Laptops (or iPad), copying notes, DSA, appeals, COP, boy-girl ratio in RV, +++

Utmost important is whether the student whom had successfully applied and enrolled with RV, is able to cope with the extensive teaching, learning and practices that will roll along the way as he or she embark on the learning journey with RV.

Languages, English and Mother-tongue are both taught and assess as first language and in particular, B4 is a minimum grade for mother-tongue in order for promotion with each year of learning. Else it’s a conditional promotion (i.e. based on other core subjects)

Most parents do tried to enroll their kids for learning at “top institution”, hoping that the child would progress from there. And on the hind-sight, “fails” to assess the potential or learning curve of the kid before embarking on these decisions.

Falling back behind their peers do poses some form of physiological hurdles in the kids’ learning path. To facilitate would be a better approach and do tried to understand the needs rather than imposing on it. I had personally come across a few cases of students being transferred out of learning institution, upon unsuccessful attempt or unable to cope with the school’s learning pace.

Just a thinker for the day. Cheers. Have an enjoyable learning journey with RV.

Do students of RV need a laptop? And do there need to subscribe to anything?

u may want to wait for further updates on the ipad scheme before deciding if u need a laptop.
P has mentioned that school would have ipad for each student in 2012 :rahrah:

Is that confirmed?
And do the students own the iPad or the school provides?
