Hi,

According to my experience, you can pack the the text book and acitivities books for the 3 main subjects first.
Thank you catddy2002. Tomorrow is \"Back To School Day\", good luck all parents of WGPS. Happy 2012! :celebrate:
wgps use the same text books as most primary schools so i dun think that the Math taught are of a different \"standard\".

fyi, my son's class did not use math text book since P5. Next year (2012) he's P6, he's teacher has asked us not to buy the math text book.

Since P4, he has been given high order thinking math to pratice on and most of the question in SA1 & SA2 are high order thinking math which you can't find in the text book.

          Hi,

for higher order thinking maths, did the school order any different assessment book? I heard that some of the good school order on-sponge maths and also A* maths assessment books for their best class.

          what abt west grove?
My son is not in the best class, so I've no idea whether the best class or any other class using assessment book. For my son's class, they did not use any assessment book, but his teacher gave them worksheets, which was since P1.

I only recently heard that West Grove using on-sponge math so I bought 1 P6 book to prepare him. I realised the questions has mostly appeared in my son's P5 worksheets. Recently, while buying school text books at the school, I saw the school start using On-sponge assessment book starting from P3. As for A* assessement book, so far only my P1 daughter's form teacher has asked us to buy for English.

                      Hi 2 Prince,

As far as I know, there are remedial classes (English and Math) for students who have difficulty following up. Usually it is conducted during weekday morning before the start of the PM session. The teacher will issue a letter to inform the parents if the child needs to attend the remedial. For students who are weak in reading, there is Buddy Reading Programme during the silent reading period, again a letter of notice will be given to parents.
