      Hi Aislyn,

Which TAS branch are you considering?

      I'm considering Amk.

      Cheers!

        Hi,

Yes I have enrolled my boy at this timing. And I have to sacrifice my Sunday morning sleep to fetch him there.

There was an entry test. But not that difficult. Just go for it. I see quite a few kids in that class, not sure if it is full now.

        Call them and check out.

Well, share the same sentiment here... Hee..I am hoping to have a class not so early so could catch some \"beauty sleep\". Not a hardworking mum, right?

Actually, before this, I was contemplating whether to send her to TAS but the class is also 9.30am. :slapshead: The thought of waking up early and the travelling time to AMk, kind of put the idea on hold. CH is nearer so it is not that bad in comparison. I suppose I would call them to arrange the test, thanks.

Anyone has comments or experience to share about Tony Buzan’s English enrichment class, especially the Hougang branch? Heard that their Science classes are very good, not sure about their English.

Does anyone has recommendation of good English enrichment classes/tuition in the North East area?

I am looking for P5 English class for my child. My child is really weak in English, so hoping to find suitable class/tutor that can help him improve. Not looking for those that are for already good students.

My 2 DS was with BC. Elderflowertea is right. They don’t follow school curriculum and even commented that my elder DS school exam papers are difficult, assuring me that "O" level cambridge papers will not be set in this layout. My 2 DS grades kept falling. After my elder DS got her "O" level for B4 after spending 4 years, I quit my 2nd DS and got her a private secondary tutor. She scored a B3.

Honestly i have tried the 3 and they aren't that good as promised... my girls are currently enrolled at this boutique centre at Roxy Square.. There is a very experienced teacher teacher there. She coaches very exclusively small classes. U can try and see if they still have places cuz they fill up really fast. Before the holidays i heard they were near full capacity already... This centre doesn't advertise... If u r really interested go down and enquire. It's called Tacher and it's located at 02-46.

My girls loved their classes and i have not regretted placing them there.
Yes, find the one that the kid like. Once they are comfortable then they will learn.

Sorry...I notice no one has replied you so far. Haven't tried L central. My kids have been in Creative Horizons all the way and seem happy sticking with them. Maybe you might want to try their Orchard centre? They have enrichment English for K1 up to JC2 and IB programme too

Hi Jackietang, may I know how old your kids are and how long they have been with CH. I am wondering if their programme is sufficient for PSLE preparation.

This year P2 and P4. They've been with CH for three years. If you have questions about what they do for PSLE prep, you can call them up or drop in to ask about the programme. I have seen the older students work and the material looks very comprehensive to me. All the sections for PSLE are covered in the skills taught.

For me, ,my 2 boys are from British Council. K2 for my elder boy was good. I can tell the teacher really put in effort. But for my younger boy last yr in K1, I find the teacher not as good.

After much consideration and the fees we forked out, I decided to withdraw them.

When I found out about CH, one of the teachers there was formally teaching GP in my JC. Spoken to her and another teacher, in fact this school is opened by ex school teachers.

And i surveyed on a few forums, indeed feedback was positive. So I decided to sign up.

After first lesson, my boys did enjoy their classes. I hope it will boost their English Language, especially the application portion of it.

Angel64, I am pretty sure your boys will benefit from the programme in CH. My daughter was there for P5 programme and she thoroughly enjoyed the lessons there. Another plus point is the small class size.

I also like the idea of teaching the kids skills to tackle the different components.
Great for younger kids who have time to work on developing the right skills and techniques to answering English questions.
However after going through the course structure for P6, I was a bit skeptical if it will be sufficient for P6 preparation as P6 prep involves quite a fair bit of drilling, grilling and practice.
So with great reluctance I pulled her out of CH.
