What I understand is the change in system. Heard some CCA will be removed forcing the students to change to another CCA. Exact details also not too sure. -

Over weekend, son also mentioned briefly that change of CCA is now allowed and he may consider changing his. To date, I also do not have any further info.daisyt:

No, some cca have training on different days, this is only the second week, that's why students can go home so early, soon they will have other activities and they will hardly have any early days. -

My dd's current time-table:
lesson ends at 2.30pm on Mon & Thur.
CCA on Tues and Fri and thus until 5pm.
lesson ends at 2pm on Wed but she is attending the 3rd language till 6.45pm.

Dd's teacher did not insist on a particular EL dictionary. So I guess it really depends on the teacher.
I will check with dd when she is back tonight on her showing of our BIG dictionary to her teacher.
Dictionaries are reference materials and teachers should not insist on a particular kind/type.
If RV is to follow the University's style, then the books listed in the book list should be called as reference books/materials.
Math notes are given which means the math textbook is optional? -
Today dd’s CL teacher left and a new relief teacher took over. Is the turnover rate of teachers high ?
