i heard that:-

i) if mother was former ex Bukit Timah MGS Secondary but not from MGS primary - her daughter can enrol for MGS primary P1 under priority scheme, P2A.

ii) however if mother was former ex Paya Lebar MGS Secondary (PLMGS) but not from PLMGS primary - then her daughter is not entitled to PLMGS primary 1 enrolment, under P2A privilege.

if True, why different since both are Methodist Girls' schools ? or am i wrong / blur ? :?

That’s because Bukit Timah MGS is one school having both primary & secondary sections.


Whereas Paya Labar MGS Secondary & Paya Labar Primary are two separate schools, that are affiliated.

U have to be from MGS to enrol your gal in P2A

Yes, have to be from the actual school itself. No concession for so called sister school. Otherwise, there will be even more \"string-pulling\" and there will be even more unhappiness amongst parents who have no connections at all.

e.g. one of my friend's son in Catholic High School, hoping to get the daughter into St Nicholas, and hoping that there is such a thing as sister school, but is disappointed, as there is no such arrangement. in the end went to a convent school nearby.

That's because MGS (@Bukit Timah) is a full school while PL MGS is not.

not true affiliation sch means ur kid will do well . i believe in how e kid deliver also … frm norm neighbourhood primary sch to Victoria / RI was my 2 cousins achievement .
