            Hi lovingmum,

On the results day, the kids with their parents have to report to school before 12pm. At 12pm, all assemble at the hall with the kids made to sit down according to their respective classes. Principal will make announcement on the overall performance of the school and also the top student. For dd’s school, the names of the top 10 pupils of the school were flashed on the screen among the other statistics. Then all proceed to individual classrooms to collect results slip from Form Teacher.

Not sure about top student in school but if your child is one of the top students in Singapore or even one of the top students based on races (Malay, Indian & Eurasian), the school will call you in the morning to ask your child to come earlier for briefing by the Principal as there maybe interview sessions by the press or Channel News Asia/Mediacorp.

Hi Dharma, so if we see the press at school we'll know we've got a top scorer that year. 🙂

That's what happened in my son's school last year. The Malay press was there to interview the top Malay student and the Tamil press was there for the top EM3 student .

A neighbour's daughter received a phone call very early in the morning. She's the top student of the school and one of the top ten pupils of the PSLE cohort. And yes, the press was there to interview her.

There was definitely an air of excitement when we saw all the cameramen with their gigantic cameras around...

                      Vikaesh:
If i score a 90 for maths, 92 for english, 94 for MT and 92 for science, what is my likely T-score?

                      1. Below 250
                      2. 250-255
                      3. 255-260
                      4. 260-265
                      5. 265-270
                      6. 270-275
                      7. 275-280
                      8. Above 280
                      Hi Vikaesh,

I see that you are a confident, intelligent boy. But I don’t seem to understand your obsession about finding out your likely T-score as you have been asking it a couple times. Nobody can give you the answer now … you should know how T-scores are calculated by now.

Having said that, if you are really confident of those marks, getting into RI will not be problem to you. So, just go and have fun for now.

Another 10 days to PSLE result day. I am wondering if we could post the school top PSLE scores here ? Would it be against any law or rules or whatever ???? If not, it can be useful information for parents to find out the academic level of each primary schools (not the top schools, more for neighbourhood schools). At least, we can know, what are the chances of these children getting into top Sec schools. Just my personal thinking, hope won't get \"hammer\". 😄 😄
