Anyone knows when the UYOs CCA is starting for the Yr 1s? I heard they received their assigned UYOs last Friday but not told when it’s starting.

Go visit Mr Chan Chee Wei, with documentation explaining why (e.g. your DS was from that UG in primary school). Mr Chan is the Director in charge of things like CCA; however, note that it may take some time to sort out. -
Understand from son that Scouts starting this Friday. Not too sure if all UG starts on the same day.
What about appealing to Sports? Appeal is to individual coach or Mr Chan Chee Wei too? Thanks -
CSN: Technically, all the CCAs are under Mr Chan, as the senior director for CCA-related matters; however I'm sure he doesn't personally handle all of them. If you appeal to the individual coach, it will work too — your appeal will go up the chain of command until it reaches Mr Chan, and then come back down again to you. The poor man must be pretty busy right now!

Heard there’s a lot of appeal going on… How do they prioritise and review the appeal? Surely some UYG is more popular than another.
So Scouts is starting this Friday. What if my son is appealing out of Scout and dont know results yet - does he still go for Scouts on Friday? -
Well, ACS(I) has many of the largest UG units. Essentially, each UG has an informal quota guideline and they will try to accommodate as many of you as necessary.
But I'm quite amazed, SA: why would your son appeal out of the Scout troop at ACS(I)? It's got very good teachers in charge. That said, he should attend the first meeting in whatever group he's posted to first. Only after a successful appeal should he go to the new UG. It's a bad habit to 'jump the gun', and you should teach him that. -
Any one taking up ACSI Symphony Band as UG CCA? This UG has highest year fees above 1K and needs 8+ hours of commitment.

I'd just like to note that this fee subsidizes the high cost of professional training and new instruments. There's also SYF next year.
