In the short run, you make very little. In the long run, you may make more.


But if I were to think of the long run, I would start a small business not linked to a franchise or MLM so that I will eventually be known for my niche and have my own brand name/reputation.

The products are over-priced.

You’re the customer yourself as you’ll buy most of the products.
Only for those who have very thick skin, and you’ll risk for losing your friends.

Just to share how I feel about my friends who are die-hard direct selling:
I don’t care how much you earn,
I don’t care how good your ‘sharing’ is,
I appreciate you take time to meet me up every time after I given birth
BUT, you all have definitely disappointed me.
I expect a reunion kind of chit-chat from you, but not spending hours listening to your ‘sharing’.
Who cares about how and how rich your ‘up-line’ or ‘down-line’ or even you become?
I just Don’t like what you’re doing now so pls don’t ‘share’ with me!

ok, sorry, just to vent out my disappointment on those friends.

Like a friend of mine said - Amway you’re in my way.
My mantra -
Keep business and pleasure separate.
Friends are not customers - there would be a conflict of interest when you treat your friends as customers.

Amway is not Amway but Scamway


the products may be good but they are overpriced

you don’t make any money and that’s disproportionate to the amount of effort you put it

you are brainwashed by a system of ‘training’ and it is almost like a religion with ‘financial freedom’ being ‘salvation’

my dad was one of their members and washed out

almost 95% of members wash out

by the way, the rich ones get rich not by selling products but by selling ‘training materials’ on how they became ‘rich’ in the first place

I escaped two times. First time my friend tried to brainwash me. Second time my DH’s friend came to our house and ‘share’ with us for two hrs. My DH almost decided to join. Then I suggested him to asked the friend who approved me first. He enquired, they said they dropped. Then we didn’t join.

hahaha ya I ve always enquired abt such companies as I ve always been looking out for opportunities.


But juz sharing, I came across something that I started juz for consumption as my health state was bad. well, cut it short, my health, immunity improved. including my kids & my parents. but that was not the push factor, as i was ok juz beng the consumer.

it was when a close ex staff who has been taking steriods since young who had blood platelets problem that took and showed good results that spurred me. coz in my heart if it can help her it can help many.

I check on the company structure and system, clean & simple, no registration, no force maintenance req'd and the $$ making opportunity is humongous as less than 1% of the world know as yet.

MLM are more or less the same.


Look carefully at how you are introduced into this biz and you should get an idea. Do they talk about biz opportunities/lobangs/interesting talk/seminars etc… or directly tell you that they are bringing you to MLM talk? The key point is, did they mislead you in one way or another? Only when you are there then you realise it is MLM that kind of thing.

For a biz model that rely heavily on painting a misleading picture… what good can come out of it?

You go to the talk, they show you the millionaires who "made it" etc… and tell you all their success stories. But… did they even mention a word about the 99.9999999999% of members who never made it?

Ask yourself, do you have what it takes to be the 0.0000000000001%? If you are confident, go for it… if not… then re-consider…

From a business perspective, I think network marketing can work due to the low capital investment, low / zero fixed costs, the efficiency of distribution of products to consumer and getting products at a reasonable & affordable prices. Some MLMs do have excellent products to be fair.

Warren Buffet, Donald Trump & Robert T. Kiyosaki also owns a MLM company as they see the potential of the business.

However, to be successful in the business, selling products itself cannot work on long term basis. It will drain the business owners out.

Without a business process, education and a strong team members supporting and helping the business owners, the business will failure for sure. The question is how many MLM companies out there are committed to help the business owners and provide such education platform to help them to be successful?

It is like joining a company of any industry. If the company that does not spent time to train the employee, no systems and documented processes in place, the employee will feel lost and not motivated. The employee will probably work for the sake of working and always looking out for opportunities to move to another company hoping that the new company will provide the training opportunities and values the employees’s effort and give recognition. But at the end of the day, we are still working for the company for good pay but less time for family.

I am still an employee for 15 years and looking for opportunities to end my employee life and move on to doing my own business because job security is no longer there and I wish for more time to be with my family. I have worked with established MNC which eventually fall into filing chapter 11. I have tried money investment, but the economic crisis stress is too hard to withstand.

I believe there are good MLMs out there and it is just a matter of time that the right one comes along. I have tried 3 MLMs and they did not really worked out. But my mind is still open to the possibilities to finding a true MLM to help me to fulfill my dream to end my employee career life.
