Can be caused by diet. Copper (found in Liver, cashew nuts, sunflower seeds, sesame) , vitamin A etc helps. If u think it's really serious then perhaps see a Doc or Tricologist. šŸ™‚

My DB loves to eat fried stuff, not sure if this is the cause of too much oily foods.

      What about instant noodles?
My elder sis & I inherited the father's side of genes, at 40s, we have nil or little white hair. But my youngest bro started growing white hair in his 20s. The only thing I could really link back was besides fried stuff, he would whack 2 pkts of instant noodles every other night as supper during his growing/teens days.
A very \"aunty-ish\" rumor is that eating too much instant noodles will cause you to have hair loss due to MSG.

But MSG, to me, only results in dehydration and vomiting sometimes. No hair loss.

My classmate in school has a lot of white hair. When I saw it I was like \"whoa.\"

Anyway, seems like white hair is quite commonplace nowadays in children.

I don't have any white hair though šŸ˜‚

My boy in P5 has 2 or 3 strands at times, not really visible. It's not as if it is spreading or he's dropping hair. It should be fine? :rahrah:

          dun worry so much. šŸ˜„

It seems like white hair is quite common now-a-days especially with so much unknown \"chemical\" in our daily food that we've consumed including medication.

It is no uncommon. My gal who is 2 has a strand before as well. Unless it is persistent and getting more. Otherwise, no cause for concern. šŸ™‚ Relax.

              agreed fully!

My DD2 white hairs started in P6 and now in Sec 1 there are more. She inherited it from my side of family. My dad had white hair when he was young, my eldest bro and I had it too. My sis and younger bro are lucky, they didn't get it.

I remembered my white hair started when I was in P5 and my teachers then were :yikes: when they saw my white hair. It did put a low self esteem on me then. I used to think that I'm ugly coz of it and will never find my Mr Right. Now with so many hair colour treatments available, I guess having white hair is not a problem anymore.

I agree with mysticpurple. I had white hair at P5 as well. During that time, knew nothing about colour treatment. Now, will just go for it when the white hair become visible šŸ™‚

Yet to see any of my children having my genes. Keeping my fingers crossed šŸ™‚

Yesterday as I was washing my DB (12 yr old) hair, I found a strain of white shiny hair behind his head. I thought I was colour blind! but with a closer look, yes it was a strain of white hair.

I was rather shock, a boy at his age should not have any of this.
Any advice? does this sound weird? should I send him to a doc? i might seem like a over-concern mummy. Any cure? Please help. :yikes:

PS: In case you are wondering why I am still bathing my 12yr old DB, as this is the only time & the reason is that he had too much dandruff and i can't stand it!!! :stompfeet: This is how I found out he had white hair!! :yikes:
so actually there is no white hair, just dandruff

susu, have you tried changing your ID to kopi-o to have black hair ? :rotflmao:
