you're also late to go for GRL route under 2B.

is desired school a Hokkien clan school ?
if Yes and one of you Hokkien, try SHHK route but clock up 40 volunteer hrs. Once SHHK send out mass email broadcast, act fast to reply \"Yes, i want to volunteer! \" next coming up April / May event needing volunteer is \"Ma Zhu dan\" festival.

go for 2C try your luck, have a few other backup schools.
during balloting, if is meant to be yours, is yours.

at same time, find out what're the niche areas of interest yr desired school wants. groom and prepare yr son well these 2 years. Target for transfer into desired school from P1. Also queue up yr son for transfer after phase 3 registration ends in August 2013.

            hi Pisceanblues,

            regarding your concern:-
“plan to return from HK around mid 2012. DD has been going to International kindergarden & learning golf since 3 and with personal coach since 4”,

below is a list offering golf as CCA in primary schools:-
            http://www.holyinnocentspri.moe.edu.sg/wbn/slot/u1357/Golf%202011/Flight%20List%202011.pdf

SG look forward to grooming Sports talents from very young, train them for Youth Olympics. As you'd groomed her from age 3 and she shows keen passion and you identify her talent young, one day your daughter will represent SG in golf championship at YOG! 😂 🕺 :rahrah:

all alumni members under phase 2A, pls read important announcement by laughingcat:-

              http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24479&p=716243#p716243

let's pray hard won't happen to our 2007 batch.
:please: :slapshead: 😢 :nailbite:  :scared: :yikes: 😓 :stompfeet:

but in the unfortunate event if really hit our batch, all those under phase 2A1, 2A2 - better start making alternative backup plans now. We don't want MOE axe to suddenly come down upon us, make the announcement, realize we're caught in dilema, no time to react. We do not know if the new decision made will still let us 2A folks remain stand alone (ie. only combine 2A1 and 2A2 together), or lump us together with the huge 2B rivalry group, competing with us head on clash for limited seats.

              attention:
              ==========
all old girls (OGA) and old boys association (OBA) from all primary schools in Singapore from 2007 batch onwards - let us all STAND UP, ARISE and FIGHT BACK. Go back to our alma mater individual school, find out what's happening there. Don't just keep quiet.

at the back of our mind - i believe deep inside our hearts, we all know what is the root cause for causing all these to happen to our alumni folks !

faster we enter P1, better !
              ye chang meng duo.

besides Ngee Ann and Bukit Panjang that introduce \"Bridging Chinese\" (for students with little or no Chinese exposure at home) very early in Primary 1, another school is:-

Paya Lebar Methodist primary (refer slide 11) :-

                    http://www.payalebarmethodistgirlspri.moe.edu.sg/wbn/slot/u1768/Documents/P1%20P2%20Parents%20Sharing%204%20Feb%202012/P1_CL_Parents%27+Sharing+session_+07Feb+2012_WEB.ppt#389,10,Modular Approach (P1-2)

in all schools P1 Term 1, Chinese teachers tend to teach hanyu pinyin quite fast.
They usually combine han yu pin yin with tingxie.
                    example:
\"sha fa\" - then the child will translate, interpret & write out the Chinese han zi (sofa) for tingxie. Thus it is good that close to K2 Term 4, if can, try to expose your child to han yu pin yin - but preferably after your child has cleared and finished English Phonics.

I think the bridging thingy is pretty much across all primary schools

                        Hi,

Can anybody tell me which GRC i should approach if i like my boy to go to tan nan primary. He is born in 2007. Is it a better chance than parent volunteer?
                        :thankyou:
