Veins, not fingerprints.
What if fingerprints change? Then cannot use ATM?BeContented:
That's good news. Just hope the bad guys are smarter than I was (now I learn something new
And fingerprints don't change, don't you watch CSI?

no point covering the keypad if the ATM has been compromised, eg when skimming device has been slotted into the card slot and you never knew it
Yes, those pp who use their atm card should be held responsible (based on the little I know). The banks say and say a lot on how pp should ensure privacy when withdrawing but I see pp withdraw money without a care in the world. When their cards get compromised, then how?Oppsgal:
However, I feel that somebody should be responsible on the repeated fraud incident. Lack of security or what? Some more is repeated one.
I can't say I won't ever fall prey, but now when i withdraw money, I will make it a point to cover the keypad, and also look at the card slot to make sure it doesn't look dodgy. When I make payments online, I do get worried and will ensure that I monitor my transactions frequently. -

DBS again, better transfer my money elsewhere

Huh? This is ATM leh. Thought I saw that the scammers couple the skimmers with cameras or other stuff to capture the pin? Without which how are they going to know e pin?

[/quote]Yes fingerprints won't change but if fingers are severely damaged, then then fingerprints will be gone but that is more of exception.

the device skimmer slotted into the card slot is so thin so small that you don't notice it

it captures all your data on the magnetic strip and the key stroke of your pin number
that's it -
