Sylvia Ng Piano Studio
-
She’s a very nice & patient lady. Certainly very good if you want someone to pique the music interest of your kids. Think you must have read her website & she comes with impressive performance credentials.
However her studio is a little small & imo cramp though, as compared to YMS. I think the space constraint is due partly to her studio being on 2 levels, so the floor space is on each level becomes smaller. Why don’t you check it out for yourself. You’ll find that she’s a very friendly person to talk with. All this is based from my personal experience a few years back. -
Does she teach music pieces outside the ABRSM exam pieces?
-
Is anyone w her? Can share experience? Thks!

Agree with the very constrained space and "old". Not very conducive!

Agree, even the piano is out of tune, n she runs between 'rooms' to coach the students... -
WHY? She teaches a few students at a time?

When we visited the pl (time given by her), there were a few students n she is the only teacher. We can't even sit down to talk properly/find out more abt the classes. But the physical environment n condition of instrument (ww shd be of reasonable std- out of tune???) alr told us it's a wasted trip. -
Anyone learning piano from Sylvia Ng? How you find her? Is she good?
-
How was her rate then?

Enrolled my 2 kids with Sylvia for just over 2 years. Didn’t see much progress. My kids are 6 and 4 and their classes are supposed to be one after the other. Just found out yesterday that she put them together in the same class to save on time, and she would run between her other students so the environment is not conducive at all.
Just pulled them out and will be looking to hire private piano teachers for them. Waste of our 2 years.
