Chen, your attitude and tenacity motivates me.
I've come to a point where I lift my child's chin upwards so that I can look in his eyes and say \"I don't care WHAT your Teacher says you can or cannot do. I don't care that your Teacher thinks you are slow and lazy. I am your MOTHER. I am more important than ANY Teacher. I, and only I, have the competence to judge whether you are good. Follow Mommy and I will guide you there. Wherever we end up, it will already be better than here.\"Chenonceau:
I dunnu if im out of topic...but i always feel teachers are very powerful people besides parents...and they have so much power with their words..to motivate or demotivate the children in their charges. sometimes a child may not be doing well..but when the teacher believes in them and encourages them...that may be all that the child needs.
My kids are finishing their ca today...and i hardly had the time to revise with them..im not expecting their results to be good..but really...is marks the only thing in life? i intend to recognise their effort and encourage them to try harder...even if they fail! ( i expect them to fail their MT)
I dunnu..i just felt like saying this..if im off topic..sorry!!
In the beginning, it was tough because he thought I was biased. But after I guided him through to some successes, my DS realized that I was right to believe in him... and he learnt to believe in himself.

Thank you for helping me be a better mom.
Sun... you have PM. -

Yes, parenting is a humbling learning experience in many way. We are not perfect parents, but what's important is that we learn and adjust along the way, and not let pride get the better of us. I thank my kids for having to put up with my idiosyncracies too.

So I dun follow your footsteps... -
too much emphasis on what others think of myself. "oh you are sahm, why your child’s result like that?? why you never do this and this and this for your child? " those kinda remarks.
big mistake cos it resulted in pushing dd too hard in getting better grades. too many out of school classes. too many assessment books.
too many unnecessary chit chats with other sahms which just added stress to a already kancheong sahm.
learnt my lesson. -

look on the bright side...it's good for it to surface during CA1...since it's science, it could be some misconception or maybe she failed to look out for some keywords.
Runs thru the mistakes and test (not formally) her understanding of the topic again.
Must have faith since she ever did well before!!! -

This is a mommy-thing
What did i do wrong? What i didnt do right? If only, but , had i, why did I, Why didnt I.... The list is endless.
My personal experience is wait awhile to ride out the emotions. Because when emotional we pass on the stress and disappointments to the kid. She probably is feeling it by herself. When you have build up ur strength then its time for cold claculated analysis and analyze. There maybe no magic cure , but you two together will overcome. Obstacles are there so you can prove yourself. And you will. :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: -
24-hr mum… yeah… it’s a Mommy thing. We always think we’re lousy Moms. Maybe that’s what keeps us trying to be better. Those who think they’re already very good, may actually be very bad and never know it. Kekekekekeke!
Keep your head up. It’ll get better.
