Suspect my maid has hp, advice needed

I have a experienced maid who own a hp. Before she started work with me, already lay down rules. Can only use hp at nigth when she’s done with her chores. At first, she obeyed. But after a few months, she starts to break the rules. As I bring my kids to my my mum’s place every morning, told her she cannot use the hp. Now hide in the toilet frequently for about 20 mins to use the toilet. When question her, she shows black face. Middle of the night, also sms and didn’t sleep. Day time, then she’s tired and start to day dream.
So how to be a good employer? If we give her some benefits, she dont treasure it but abuse the trust and benefits given to her. Housework no heart to do. Becoming so obsess to the hp. At times neglect her responsibilties. I am in thinking of changing to another maid. We are humans and hope she will be happy here. But… -
Yes i agree with Ichigokun,indeed we’r not staying in North Korea but i really have a true self experience with my current maid taking a ruler for an inch attitude after giving her 1 thing & she continue asking for more and more never stop ending.
My maid has already way forgotten of her first objective of coming to Singapore and work.She’d mix up her needs and wants.
Will continue to share with you all her horror stories and btw she’s my first maid since started with me in yr 2008 and she’s still with me.
Her contract going to end in May and she’s decided to work for Ang Moh and truly i give her my blessing.
I’m a FTWM therefore with no help from aged parents and aged in laws and due to the nature of me and my husb job,is tough to put my child in child care.

Actually now with the new off day rule, maids will get a Hp for sure whether employer agrees or not. Without Hp, how are they going to arrange to meet their friends on off day?? With off day, Hp will become necessary for them. So even if we talked about this whole day long, it will still happen.
For employers worried about maid spending too much time on Hp, then maybe keep the Hp and wait till she finish her chores then return the phone to her. -
Well how would one know there is only one hp? My godma’s ex maid had THREE hp and the family didn’t bar her from using. She started stealing from the family to pay for the use.
Come to think of it, with the new legislation, Hmmm, maybe it is good time to buy telco shares. Afterall there should be more revenues coming in. -

i did not confront her about the hp issue. (perhaps she knows that i know alreeady?)
This evening my parents took the maid & kids out. I looked thru my maid's stuff again..she has some photos of her wearing my specs, and sunglasses on her head? I know it is not as bad as those horror stories wearing underwear and all that but still...
she is wearing make up in the photos--i am HOPING she's not using my make up!!
in one photo she is posing in front of my husband's computer --looking at the screen, hand on the mouse. from all the photos i can't tell for sure if she's taken the photo herself or somebody took her photo. In the latter case, means somebody came into my house!?!?!! Arrgh.
When she tell me she wants to ask for transfer, she say, can i not transfer her back to the original agency she came from. She wants to go to Javamaids.--means what? She has been doing her homework.

It's true. Some maids have 2 or more phones. I believe they use one for local calls, another one for Facebook. My question is how much does it cost them to go online and on facebook? Do they do it via a prepaid card or a subscription plan? I'm wondering bec it must cost quite a bit, especially given their salary. $40 a month?Well how would one know there is only one hp? How come yr maid can even specify which agency to go ? This means she has found herself an employer through Javamaids. :yikes:
If the maid's has the liberty to do that, it will make our life very difficult. I guess now they will have more chance to ask for transfer since they can go for off day next year. -

and these telcos are not M1 or Starhub or Singtel..... they are those resellers of telcos and retailers of phone card....you see lots of them at tanjong pagar wp centre
