Thanks. Will monitor the situation next Monday n take it from there. Any comments on OLGC n marymount convent? Or should I just register my girl in any AMK pri sch?

🙂 sorry can't help you out here on whether which school you should pick. that is subjective. marymount convent no sec school so that by itself is an issue to some parents, including me. olgc at least have sjc.

It's really a pity Marymount doesn't have sec...used to be so popular back then. Parents have certain criteria when choosing primary schools for children. For me, affiliation is very important.[/quote]Affiliation is impt for me too. And I'd really like my children to be in a catholic school. So will try our best. Hb said worst come to worst, put girl's name on wait list or seek transfer after p1. He also prefers catholic schools I guess n was educated in one.
Anyway good luck to all parents registering their children under 2b catholic phase. God Bless!

          Hi,

We are Catholics, and am planning to send my boy to either St Gabriel or Maris Stella or Holy Innocent’s Pri. And I’m really curious and interested to know what are the odds in terms of registration in these schools under Phase2B. Which has a better chance of getting into?

What is the distance between the schools and your house?

Hi. I found out your child doesnt need to be Catholic. One parent must be Catholic to get into Phase 2B. But being Catholic also doesnt guarantee a place if the Catholic school is very popular and there are more applicants than vacancies. No priorities are given in Phase 2B to religion. Priorities only given to those living than 1KM followed by 1-2KM if applicants more than vacancies.

                  2) No. St Hilda's is not a Catholic school. It's a Christian school. Anglican - related to St Andrew's, St Margaret's etc. So you cannot use your Catholic baptism cert to get into Phase2B. Only chance is Phase2C or you PV.
