So if a Singaporean stay at 1-2km & a PR stay at 1Km does it mean that Singaporean have priority in entering or even meant for balloting? The Singaporean 2 tickets & PR 1 ticket system still they use or scrap? :rahrah:

Yes, all Singaporeans will be admitted before PRs in the event of oversubscription. With that in place, there shouldn't be a need for the 2 ticket/1 ticket ballot anymore. But if there are more Singaporeans than places available there will still be ballotting among the Singaporeans.

Singaporean children must be given the priority for a confirmed enrollment, over children of PR status.

Not like current system where 2 ballot slips of white paper given to Citizen, one ballot slip given to PR.
          Admit all Singapore children first.
This is what implementation of the new policy, take off wef July 2012 is all about.

nowadays, not only malaysian move back to Malaysia to enjoy their golden retirement . in fact has many SC also moves to jb to enjoy their golden retirement

              absolut_vodka:
I'm sorry, these pple that I am talking about were in SG since Pri school and yet, they still left eventually. Just take our closest neighbors - the malaysians. How many eventually sink their roots here? Many study here, work here and (get PR status). Once they reach retirement, they give up their PR status, take back their CPF monies and move back to Malaysia to enjoy their golden retirement with more than double the spending power (since they earned S$ all these while). Some even better - keep their PR status, keep their HDB flats and collect rental every month while living in Malaysia. So tell me, why shouldn't Singaporeans get priority?

                  Hi limlim,

                  Many thanks.

Aware we don’t have to move to near school but just that i still can’t get used to the north also… so thought of moving back to the east side. Furthermore, it will be very cumbersome to send my send to hubby’s ex-school if we continue to stay in the north.

My sister has a place in Bedok but she works shift so difficult to help us out on this.

We had the ‘luxury’ of 2 schools to choose for my younger one then - either same school as son (Phase 1) or my former school (Phase 2A2). In the end, hubby decided on my former school because he wanted daughter to be in all girls’ school.
