Hi, just putting my two cents in this club since my DD (only 1) was born on Dec 2008. πŸ˜„

We are staying in Melb, though DD is in 3 day childcare, she has never been exposed to any other enrichments or lessons. Previously was quite bo chap but now i am abit concerned because it seems likely we will move back to SG before DD need to go to P1. Wondering if she will be able to cope?

Now am of two minds... to continue letting her develop in her own time plus doing some 'activities' at home (e.g. we only speak Mandarin at home so that she is conversant in the language plus teach her some skills like ABS, chinese words on an ad hoc basis) or really try to 'prepare' her by sending her to classes.

DD is end of year baby so i think there's quite a difference between DD and children born earlier in the year in terms of her 'skills', especially motor-wise. She is abit scared of bigger, more able kids in the playground so abit of the timid sort, dont like trying new things (e.g. physical type activities). However, language skills are her strength and she is very fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Feeling the stress now even though she is just 3 yrs 3 mths!

My little girl attends ballet at Crestar. She enjoys the lessons, and look forward to the class every week. She merged in quite easily and has already make a few good friends in the class.

You may want to let your girl do a trial class first, see how she interacts with the teacher and other children before you decide. All the best!

Anyway, my first child is borned in October 2008. Does anyone has any recommendation for enrichment class in the upcoming school holidays?
