many ex MGS girls very supportive and proud of their alumni, many join 2A (1).
those who don't join under 2A (2) - lesser, compared to those who join.

        encourage you to join. 😄
no need to think so hard.
go and support your alma mater, join in the alumni activities!

some of the current MGS alumni committee members' daughters had already finished P6, moved onto Secondary school. The alumni committee definitely need and welcome fresh new parents like you from new recent batches to step in, as the educational forefront dynamics keep changing. With your refreshed energy newly \"charged up\" fired up in your excitement as your daughter about to enter Primary 1 soon, you can chip in fresh new ideas contribute and support, help your school leap frog, scale to even greater heights.

            Hi

Would like to find out if I manage to get a BTO flat but it will not be completed at the time the registration start for P1, will they still consider?
Will they just look at the IC address or they can refer to the HDB letter?

Finally, I have the answer that I’m out of the GR route from this site and PV is mostly closed so left with P2C within 1km route!!

You are able to use the new address so long as you are able to move in to the new flat by the end of your child's P2 year. Produce the HDB letter during P1 registration.

I have a question. I am an alumni member of a SAP sch, but the sch is far from my home. Instead I am eyeing a SAP sch near my home and will be applying for PV. Based on history, Phase 2B for the sch near home only ballot for >2km (I am 1-2km), BUT last year, there was balloting for 1-2km.

I am thinking of registering at my alumni sch and then if the situation permits, by observing the number of applicants, to pull out and then apply at the sch near my home.

Can this be done? Thank you.

Yes, Kelpy. This had been done by many parents in previous registrations.

First reserve a place at school A in an earlier phase. Then monitor the situation at school B in subsequent phase. If the condition is favourable, they will withdraw from school A, then register in school B.

The only problem with your plan is that you might be too late to apply for PV at your desired school. PV duty cycle for 2013 registration is from July 2012 to June 2013. Most schools would have already closed their PV application phase, and into their interview/selection phase by now.

Best for you to call your desired school right away.

                  Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Is it very difficult to withdraw application? One parent goes to the school to withdraw while the other applies at the other school? Or, all can be done at the target school? The PV is apparently still open and closes in June 2012, so I’m deliberating whether to execute it this way. Historically, the target school only ballots for P2B > 2km, but last year, there was balloting 1-2km, which is the region that I’m in. So, will do PV, and execute as above and monitor situation.

Not difficult, but you must bear in mind that other parents will adopt this strategy, too. So, give yourself more time.

Yes. You are allowed to register with the second school ONLY AFTER you have withdrawn from the first school.

Thank you for your reply, class monitor!

I’ll assume they will then look at the estimated date of completion from the HDB site. Which means that for 2007 grp, the estimated date of completion must be latest by Qtr 4 2015.
