Does an NIE trained teacher teach better than one who is not?

For those of us who have passed through the gates of NIE, we all know it is a matter of being project and exam smart. As for the practicum, it really depends on the CT as well as the Sup, isn’t it?

Dont use the tutor name by Jamie Wong. She collect advance payment but keep changing her schld n timing. She is either late for lesson, MC or will msg u said she’s tired today n request for a day off! I stopped her service last Friday n still waiting for her to refund my $. I contacted her last Wednesday she said she is busy with classes, no time to transfer to me. How long does it take to make a Internet transfer? She said will do so over the weekend but until now still no sound no picture.

She is recommended by a agent, Janice tan. I MSG the agent to chase for payment n follow up by a phone call. Guess what? Agent did not pick up my call! No choice, I have to give them a deadline to transfer my refund to me, if not, I will make a police report! The agent replied ok

          Irresponsible tutor n agent!!

My personal impression of agents are mostly, basically blood leeches who screen no tutors and just accept any or all applicants in order to satisfy clients’ demands. Just my personal opinion anyway so no need to get worked up for those agents who really care about students’ needs.:X

Hi Ordinarymum, most graduates are charging at least $25 and upwards, and this will be for lower primary level upwards. Secondary level charges may start from at least $35 upwards. For which level is your child's tuition?

Does anyone have a home tutor to recommend for P4 Maths/Science/English?

wow…seriously…180 dollars is a little too much. However, just figuring, I have fellow tutors who charge 50 dollars per hour for pri sch english and are still undergrads. Is that actually ok?

LSCJ you're an undergraduate tutor too? I charge about half the price, but then I don't go to the student's house. I make them come over instead so that I can save some time for studies & more students.
