Hi all!!


I'm a super newbie here! Would appreciate help and advise if possible.

First of all, my girl is born 2008. May I know when should I start applying to be PV?

We are currently waiting for our new flat (BTO). expected to be ready in either end 2013 or early 2014 and so for now, we are staying with our in-laws in Jurong East. Does the address reflected in our NRIC affect our changes to apply for PV?

I read through this thread and I'm interested in becoming PV for BPPS and Beacon Primary.. both are within 1-2km.. my new flat is in Senja area..

My choices are:
1. Bukit Panjang Primary (1-2KM)
2. Beacon Primary (1-2KM)
3. Zhenghua Primary (<1KM)

Would appreciate kind parents to advise me on when I should start to apply for PV with these schools!!

FYI. BPPS now only accept PV stay within 1km so no chance at all.
But u may try Beacon as their P2B is like 99% get in.
For 2008, u may want to call the sch ard Oct this year for the PV

What do you all think of Westview Primary? Is the standard really lower as compared to the othere? How about Greenridge? Any comments from anyone?

I think u can forget about BPPS since u r within 2km.
If u can be a PV in Greenridge and Beacon, i can say that 99% ur child can get a place.
If u dun wan to be PV then u can forget abt Beacon as there r balloting within 1km.
Then u should try Greenridge in P2C. As for West View, it will be my P2CS choice than Zhenghua. If u apply West View under P2C then u confirm got place lor...

My Choice in Bt Panjang as below:
1. BPPS
2. Greenridge
3. Beacon
4. West View
5. Zheng Hua

I new here, just scanned through some of the posts posted with regards to Primary schools in Bukit Panjang area.

My son is due for Pri 1 registration this year. However, I am really lost with the registration system.

My preferred choice will be as followed:-

1) BBPS (within 2km)
2) BCPS (within 1km)
3) Pei Chun (parents old school, located in Toa Payoh)

However, under the Pri 1 registration system, my preferred choice of schools is totally opposite from the registration phases. Am I right to say that I will need to register for Pei Chun Pri under Phase 2A first to garantee a place in shcool.

If not I will have to register with BCPS in Phase 2B first although my prefer choice is BBPS (which fall under Phase 2C)?

Looking at a few posts posted it seem like the above 2 schools are very popular in Bukit Panjang area. What if I could not get into both school that I wanted to registered my son for P1, what will be the alternatvie choice for me.

I was thinking if I should registered him for Pei Chun Primary School (my old school) under Phase 2A (2) where I can most probably ensure of having a place for P1. However, I do have hesistation as the school is located at Toa Payoh and he will have to spend time travelling on the road to and from home.

Can anyone advise me on the best solution? Thank you.

Y BCPS under P2B? R u a PV or GRL? If yes, then u already 99% gat a place in BCPS. Then u no need to go for Pei Chun. As for BPPS, it always ballot within 1km so no chance at all.

I hope you are not thinking that you qualify for phase 2B because you live within 1km from the school?

I have noticed that from 2012, the spaces will be given to Singapore citizen for first priority. We are just PR and we are living <1pm from Bukit Panjang primary school. Is it still worth for me to apply in BPPS?

If u r PR then no need to think of BPPS even u stay 1m away...
U may want to try West View already for ur child in P2C. I think this is the only sch that no balloting in P2C
