got some results today, no very good news... I read the sms and my heart dropped. I start wondering whether we should go ahead with DSA. 😢

Reading all about these children hurting themselves due to the fact that they don't know how to handle stress at such young age make me feel sad  and concerned too.

Build resilience in our children cos with that, they will and can always rebound back and say to themselves ,\"Yes! I can do it ! The past does not equate to the future !\"

This's Life!!!! :stupid: :slapshead:  A few kids also cut their wrist during P6,the school covered up.

          :yikes: :faint:

So sad  for the kids to resort to this method of letting their steam off.....

Don be dishearten , still have some more results so still have hope :xedfingers: Me also waiting patiently for SA 1 to be over then next week will be like walking on landmine while waiting for DS results. Hope all our children hard work will pay off.

Always tell both my DS as long I see they have put in their full effort I will accept the results good or bad and I still love them vvvvvvv much :grphug:

Yes, continue to ensure DC that we still love them no matter what results they get. So sad to hear of stories where children cannot handle stress and do something silly. There is still some time to PSLE…Work on the weaknesses and I am sure they will excel…

Having a positive attitude IMO is most important…and yes, let them enjoy the journey of learning. It is a lifetime skill.

                Hi underthesea,

Agreed with mum42. Don't be too disheartened. Imagine your child's 心情 when he / she texted you. Are there any more papers to be taken the following day ? If yes, stay focus for the next paper.

                Good luck ! :snuggles:

Your child would have felt lousy when he/she messaged you. P6 is getting tougher every year acc to my son's tutors. So don't lose hope...there is oral and compo.

Don’t be too disappointed about not being able to apply for academic DSA. There is still the PSLE you can focus on. I deliberately chose not to even try at DSA and focus entirely on PSLE. The effort and time saved can make some difference to the PSLE t-score later. To me, academic DSA doesn’t make much sense. If your child is strong enough for Academic DSA, he’ll get in through the t-score anyway, no?

                    Hope this helps?

Tomorrow is DS’ last exam. It is also the last day of his 3-week play period. Sigh! It’s back to work for us now that exams are over!!
