How should food be stored so that mould cannot grow on it too quickly and cause it to spoil?

I will choose 3 too because that’s how I store my cake to prevent them from turning mouldy. Ha…ha…

I will chose 2. conditions for mould to grow
                  - air ( kept in air-tight container)
                  - moisture
                  - warmth (food to be kept in fridge)

Not all things you want to add vinegar as a preservative right!

Please do share with us the answer when you have them.

Concept Tested here: Mould needs air, warmth and water to grow.

Clearly, Option A: Food in refrigerator has no warmth.
Option 😄 Food in air-tight container has no air.
Option E: Although this is not what the pupils have learnt about the conditions of growth for mould, but this is a common-sense solution to prevent mould from growing.

Answer for this question: Option 3 (A, C and E)

Increasingly, PSLE has shifted to test on common-sense questions rather than strictly text-book based syllabus. We have to adapt. 😃

                        Yes, the ans is (3).

Tcher said tt the key word here is slow down the mould growing process.

I had to spent spent quite a bit of time to explain each scenario to ds…
