Happy Call Korean Frying Pan

The Korean BBQ sauce has sugar. I think it is the sugar that burns. I blend fresh rosemary, thyme, sage, salt in olive oil to make a green liquid that I then use a syringe to pump UNDER the chicken's skin. No sugar. No burn. If you don't have a syringe, use a teaspoon but you must first carefully detach the chicken's skin from the meat to make space under the skin for the oil.
I saw the Ocher with grill at United Sq leh...
BTW, how do you know if the food is cooked... Keep opening to check?
I used medium heat and still burnt some parts of the drumsticks I was cooking coz I couldn't look inside... I saw your blog on the roasted chicken but mine burnt despite only using medium heat for less than a minute and turning down to low heat for the next 5 minutes... I used Korean BBQ sauce and it was quite sweet. So how to control the heat for meats with such marinades?
Or else, I use Seah's 5-Spice Fried Chicken Powder. Blend in olive oil. Again use a teaspoon to put oil UNDER the skin.
Restaurant chefs marinate their roast chickens this way so that the chicken has enough oil under the skin to keep from drying out. Also, when the oil bubbles through the skin, the skin becomes crispy. -

A) Hi Isetan also don't provide warranty, i think their shop also :xedfingers:Was in town......so decided to go to the Everything Korean shop to take a look at the HCP. Small little shop, crowded & lotsa people holding some gmkt/deal printout. Things inside all from Korea.
Understand there'll only stock for deeper (red $72.90/ ocher $74.90) & jumbo. I have waited long enough, so just went ahead to buy the deep ocher (no free gifts & sealer out of stock).
After I left, then realised
A) never ask if any warranty
B) how come theirs dun come with box or that shiny sticker.
Anyway, purchased......too late. It looked authentic so hope won't regret.
Will hide it in room from MIL first, can only start using on Mon.
B) My friend told me, those pans come in container, paper box are optional to reduce space for shipping ( :scratchhead: just know save space) Last tue early noon, went there no many ppl but saw they give out box to one old folk that bought a ocher jumbo grill. Maybe depends whether they have time or they have boxes on hand. The shop is really small. -
Find that the pan when use to stir-fry vegetable, too much steam or what, will leak out when open the cover.
I like using the pan for frying things, or cook steak. Get to heat up pizza too. -
I just bot the pan, read the manual and it says that the pan lasts for one year only. Anyone used for more than a year? Frequent usage ?
-
I think they meant the sealer lasts for one year, not the pan. The English manual I read said it was the sealer. The pan should last for a very long time.
-
Where can i buy extra sealers?
(currently out of stock @ everything korean shop) -
Does anyone knows why the sealer of my Happy Call Pan comes off whenever I flip the pan 2 times? I changed the sealer before, but it still happens… Anyone experience this? Thanks.

The manual said never to take the sealer out to wash even. Did you remove it before? The manual also said that if it’s loose, you can actually cut out the extra length and slot it back in for a tighter fit.
