      Hi,

My children had been in Taylore Encore that are franchise of the Helen O’Grady Drama for 2 years before I stopped the lesson. I must say that is an exposure for them especially for my girl who is shy and introvert. At least, she is willing to talk and express herself progressively. For the elder one, he is becoming more talkative. But due to time constraint, I have to stop the lessons. I must say that it did help my children but it would be best for the child to try out first before decide to sign as different programme suit different kids.

Act3 drama and speech is not bad…i cant compare with the other two… but from the one DD joined in school, ACT3 is so much better and they get to peform in front of parents each term, this helps to build confidence.

the staff in act3 is good too. teacher wise, so far i only tried one, will switch to another teacher and shall see if better, as this current teacher is not that expressive from others that we saw during the performance.

My DD will turn 3.5 next year. Her childcare teachers have commented that she is shy in class. She can’t speak and read well too. Should I look for a school that combine phonics and speech & drama class, or should send her to two separate classes?

We enrolled our daughter in holiday programmes at Act 3 and Julia Gabriel. She really enjoys them and takes part in everything wholeheartedly. Thanks for the tips!

She’s in P3 now and has no problems socialising.
