Using 3/5 of her money, Chloe could buy 11 notebooks. If she was given an extra $2, she could use it together with the remaining amount of money to buy another 8 such notebooks. How much money did Chloe have?

Male:Female ----- 48:69 (total (117%)

There are 2340 people in the bazzar now

3 units ----- 11 notebooks

2 units + $2 ----- 8 notebooks <--- divide by 2
1 unit + $1 ----- 4 notebooks <--- multiply by 3
3 units + $3 ----- 12 notebooks

As 3 units also equal to 11 notebooks, thus:

11 notebooks + $3 ----- 12 notebooks
1 notebook = $3

3 units = $33 (11notebooks)
1 unit = $11
5 units = $55

At first Male is 40%,
20% of the 40% is 8%

So now male is 40+8 = 48%

same to female.
