Who is the woman behind beleaguered City Harvest Church founder Kong Hee, now at the centre of the most shocking probe into a religious organization in Singapore ?

      http://sg.news.yahoo.com/who-is-ho-yeow-sun--20120626.html

How did alleged misconduct at CHC take place ?

Here are details of the alleged misconduct and mismanagement at the charity as stated in full by the COC on Tuesday, when Kong and other key members of the religious organisation were arrested in relation to the allegations.

why do people want to mix politic with a simple issue of breaching of law? Do they harbor evil intention?

If KH can be acquitted, isn’t Ming Yi over charged? The money involved is many times larger and the sophistication to falsify and cover up multiple level higher.

I am not a christian but I find that what the media is reporting is one-sided. No mention of the good they have done. True, the good they do does not make them right but this is not a case of taking money for their personal gain but more for advancing their project to do good works. Singing maybe one way Sun took to try to do that.

Just talked to a colleague who is from another church, Cornerstone, who shared how Pastor Kong has impacted christianity in singapore. I was surprised that they have done so much but the only reports that come out are all negative. And most people take great pleasure in seeing them fall.

An interesting article I saw on facebook written by a muslim. Food for thought.

Just finish reading d link u posted.
So d rather long prologue was to introduce a conspiracy theory
            - wat do u think?

Sorry, I didn't finish reading the whole article - got to the part where it says going to hollywood and how using that style to appeal to the people there - it just doesn't sound right to me, though I can't explain why. I just skipped the rest of it.

You've expressed my secret thoughts. This reminds me of the \"tongue-in-cheek\" article posted earlier in this thread from other sources, with the writer linking KH to the political win. Sniff, sniff. Fishy.

Just read CHC latest press release.

                :slapshead:
Looks like CHC is on a collision course with d authorities
in spite of DPM TCH taking d precaution to make a public statement to separate church fr d actions of individuals involved.

Yes, the press release took me by surprise too. I thought DPM TCH already subtly hinted at them the course of actions they should take. At the very least, I think people expect that those being charged to be relinquished of their duties until the trial is over, whether they are guilty or not. Now it seems like they are going to rally the entire church against this charge and still let the affected pastors preach.

Well done... CHC showdown with CAD?
                Getting interesting...

If Kong is really guilty and his supporters still blindly support and think he should be freed and not be punished because of the good deeds he had done.....

Wonder what were their thoughts during the time when TT Durai and the Ming Yi were found to be guilty? Same standard applied?

Both Durai and Ming Yi continued to have some supporters after bring found guilty.

birds of a feather flock together.
Friend of mine told be that he had left the Bible Presbyterian church to join CH because Bible Presbyterian is too rigid, whereas CH endorsed his life-style.

One Lie Leads To Another Lie

By so called reputable people we so often are misled
And one lie leads to another lie as we often have heard said
And to cover up for one lie another lie you must tell
'Tis a thorny path to heaven but an easy path to hell.

One lie leads to another lie that always is the case
Your first lie for deception and your second to save face
And when you are faced with the truth the truth you will deny
And to lie to you comes easy so you tell another lie.

One lie leads to another lie if what you say is untrue
Then another lie you must tell and your lies won't stop at two
But the truth of guilt will free you though the truth can be hard to speak
And to lie is always easy and 'tis easy to be weak.

Look at ex President Bill Clinton to millions of people he lied
When his affair with Monica Lewinsky in public he denied
Had he told the truth in the first place of guilt he would have set himself free
But he took for him the easy option and he lied quite easily.

One lie leads to another lie and to more lies that will lead
And to cover for the lies you've already told a good memory you need
And though the truth at times is hard to speak the truth will serve you best
For the truth will always ring true in a lie detector test.
                    Francis Duggan

maybe he wants to see more girls in his formal church to dress up like a infamous singer.
