Thanks Sglady.zakashi:
What about ACS(P) besides ACS(J) under P2C within 1km? Appreciate your comments.
Hi! Zakashi, good to see you again. I'm also caught in between these 2 school and these 2 schools need to be ballot last year within 1 km.
2012 vacancies /applicants phase 2c
ACSP 24/29
ACSJ 63 / 76 (Ballot 1st time in history, correct me if i'm wrong)
I wonder how now even we are given the priority over PR. -
Hi all,
I had registered my son at phase2A1 at CHS And the latest update no of registration for 2A1 is 82/149… Does it mean we had to go through balloting??? -
von78:
It means 149 vacancies, 82 registered; so all registered kids in 2A1 got in with 67 vacancies left for next phase ie 2A2.Hi all,

Hi,
What is the difference between the different ACS (ACSJ, ACSP etc.) schools here? Same management? Different quality of teaching?
Thanks

All i know is that the school fee is different.

For this year on, it will depend on 2 things - Sg citizen? and dist from school? For last yr, there were only 64 vacancies under 2C and there were all taken up by those within 1km (for ACSJ, that is).leongmichael:
[quote=\"toots\"]Hi
What is everyone opinion on ACS for phase 2C ?
Thanks
If you are not within 1km or 2km, there may be still a chance if your son is SC. Many are watching the outcome to see how many SC children beyond 1-2km from popular schools are successful. Good luck!
SJI seems to have lesser risk. -

Yes, anyone can withdraw from a Sch after registering in any phase, then register in another Sch. But why would anyone do that? Maybe if both parents are from prestigious Sch, it could happen at phase 2a1 and 2a2But, you can drop out of a school chosen in P2A and register for a different school at P2C, right? Doesn't this apply within P2B or P2C to avoid balloting in case the school turns out to be popular?
What happens if everyone waits until the last day of registration and there is a rush for the limited places on the last day? Then, the vacancy numbers on the MOE website may not be reflective of the situation.
Regards,
Looking at some of the hot schools, it is highly posssible that there will be balloting at phase 2b.
Last year, a friend of mine happily registered on the first day of phase 2c. She thought her chance of getting in was high and was happy for 2 days. However, when the total figures came out on the 3rd day, there was a surge in the number of applicants. So if you have two choice Sch and do not wish to go through the stress of balloting, and maybe registering at phase 2Cs, it's a good idea to look at the figures, make last minute change of plan if needed and register on the last day.
Not sure if schools entertain calls about the vacancy left and the distance information of students who have registered. Can try your luck though. -
SCSS:
Hi, can someone tell me results if phase 2b is announced on 25 July - does it mean in the event of balloting is required, it's also the balloting day? How early do they notify u ? Thks. Z
When you register, the sch will inform you the date and time they will do the balloting if the need arise. I think parents can be present during the ballot so you will know the results immediately. If you get it, :congrats: , else quickly decide which Sch to go to in P2Cs. Another thing to do is to put your child on wait list in case someone withdraws. -
Pharse 2A1 results out.

How about for Phase 2B those associated with clan/church?
