I like this one so much better..

The latest one with the kids.. crappy.. IMO.. of course, that's my opinion, and you're free to disagree..

Don't like the sound.. don't like the video..

If they film the kids out in the greenery, enjoying nature.., pick up litters along the coast doing meaningful things.. maybe not so bad.. to film them singing.. very boring..

And they should get a proper singer to sing..

ps: There are kids in the video I posted too.. so cute...... this, is well done (last year's video).. IMO..
Refering to the above video, I find the singing too perfect, and the production too flawless (& hence commercialized).. And, immediately after i listened to the song, I forgot its melody (& lyrics) instantly..

As tutormum mentioned, this year's \"saving gaia\" song catches on us instantly (melody & lyrics), and I find it hard to get it out of my head whenever I hear it.. So i end up humming the song wherever I am (at home, in shopping malls, on mrt/bus, in the car etc), and whatever I am doing (shopping, reading, cooking, doing chores etc).. The song never fails to bring a smile to my face, always.. ๐Ÿ˜„

When i first heard the song, I was wondering why we donโ€™t have better child singers.

Then later I reckoned that the producers purposely get ordinary kids to sing the song.
The tune is catchy, the simplicity of the song and the innocent and unpolished voices of the kids make it unique and best of all, memorable.

Yah... My 3.5 years old dd took to the song positively...and love it...

She whispered, \"save my world.....save my world....\" before she sleeps sometimes...

I like the fact the song appeals to them... Afterall, the song is about them and for them, for their future...

Thumbs up for it! :celebrate: :celebrate:

              I quite like it.

My only grouse is that the music director could have done a much better job with it. The song is catchy & I love it being sung by children especially. However, most of the singers (those who sang solo) appeared so tense, as if they have been forced on stage (just my feel). Only 1 boy seems to enjoy it & sang passionately. I like to watch him sing. I think if the rest of the children had sung like him, with passion, whether their vocals are good or not, would not have mattered (at least to me).

And why would they need to be dressed up in animal jumpsuits??? The children are old enough not to look cute in them. ๐Ÿคท

When the song came on yesterday, my daughter started shaking her booty so energetically that puts Ricky Martin to shame.

You must be refering to the 3rd boy (chubby chubby one) who sang at the start of the song.. He sang solo 3x altogether.. Ya, he is a joy to watch, always swaying his hands & body along with the music.. ๐Ÿ•บ

Actually, the 1st girl and the 2nd boy were good too, though they did look a little serious.. My 2 nieces (P4 & P2) commented that the 2nd guy who sang looked sooo cool.. ๐Ÿ†’

Love the fact that they got normal average kids to sing and not some superstar kidโ€ฆwe should be proud of them! Of course arrangement can be better, they can look more animated but hey these are singaporean kids, we are all not the boldest most confident- it is not the kids but even we adults will looked stiff if they get us to do this. I think we should celebrate the fact that they dare to try and they sound good, not perfect but good and heart-warming.
