2012 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Thank you so much psle2011mum. I still need to put in a lot of efforts to improve my DD's writing skills. One thing is time management and another thing is no consistency. I can not predict she can do a certain topic well or not. Luckily she is doing relatively well in her school tests so far probably because she is getting the known/exposed topics. I am learning a lot from your write-ups and you are really a blessing to this forum. :salute: and :thankyou: so much.

adult’s Brands? Are u guys aware that there are kids version as well?

My boy told me that their school principal had breakfast ( Mac Donald’s sausage mac muffin) with them today. Recess was extended to one hour & he took the opportunity to motivate them.

Yes, similar stuff but smaller bottle. -

Your girl sounds very mature & independent. She will do her best in PSLE. You are right to say that we should trust them & have confident in them.G Tan:
Just a curious thought, anybody sending your DD or DS for any workshop or course this september holiday??
I wouldn't send for a course so near to PSLE. I do not want to load my child with additional info at this late stage. Moreover, I think most P6s need to go back for supplementary lessons. I just signed off mine. I just want her to relax, go thr whatever she feels she needs & trust her to go with her flo. I feel that if we tell them that we trust them, they feel a certain sense of responsibility & will want to do well for us parents & for themselves. I kept reminding dd that this is her only chance at PSLE & she says she knows & wants to do her best too. -

Most kids thrieve on praise & encouragements. Now we should dish these out more often at them though I have to admit that at times I nag at her too. I must remind myself to manage my stress levels as Prelims & PSLE approach.Honey:

Now is the time to control our stress level and keep motivating and be a support pillar for our dear kids.

I have to show him more TLC now...or else he won't be able to take the stress if I push him. So if he wants to eat anything, hubby and I will try to get it for him...but control his diet nearer PSLE. -

It's a fine balance... been adding too much TLC to counter sch stress that she became too relaxed!! :slapshead:mn:

So now I must learn to dish out the right doses of TLC, cheerleader and \"whip\" :nunchuk:
