Thanks so i assume it applies the same for 2b.
Should be the same for 2b. Don't think the PVs PRs will get priority vs GRL or church SC.
The 40 SC within 1km and the 10 SC over 1 km will get in.dorisp:

SC priority I thought its throughout all the phases? Why 2B they can still get equal chance? I was told if demand over supply, SC will get priority.
Can I ask if under 2c if say left 50 and we have 40 SC stay within 1km, 10 PR stay within 1km and 10 SC stay over 1km. Who gets priority?

SC priority over PR only applies for Phase 2C. So if the parents of PR do their PV in their choice school, they will still get priority for Phase 2B
No, it starts when balloting required. (P2B needs balloting)LOLMum:
I must be really dumb but does the above numbers of places taken up confirmed already? Or need to do another round to sort out citizens and PRs? I mean, those children already under siblings priority PRs also got in already right?
So wherefore is the citizen priority...? :?
As long as the supply is more than demand, everyone gets in.
When supply shrinks, balloting kicks in then sg citizens regardless of distance gets priority over pr.
So 2b onwards...is a nitemare for pr.
So now PR will be very hard to get into popular sch -

Thanks so i assume it applies the same for 2b.
The same applies to 2B. \"From the 2012 P1 Registration Exercise onwards, when balloting is necessary in a specific phase, SCs will be given absolute priority over PRs.\" So as long as SC applied are more than the available places. PR will not be considered. SC will have to ballot among themselves based on distance.
The 40 SC within 1km and the 10 SC over 1 km will get in.dorisp:

After Phase 2A2,the remaining seats will be divided 50% for Phase 2B and Phase 2C. So those doing volunteer work will ballot against themselves and for Phase 2C will be based on distance to school for allocation and decide if less than 1km , 1-2km , more than 2 km requires balloting.
2B is also ballot by distance. -
So some of the more popular schools do not accept PV >2km as their balloting history is always within 2km for 2B.

DesertWind:
PRs will normally go for Phase 1 then skipped to 2B as not many of the parents have studied in Singapore since Pri and still remains a PR until now. And more than 15 years ago not much foreigners/PR sent their kids here to study in pri sch.
I must be really dumb but does the above numbers of places taken up confirmed already? Or need to do another round to sort out citizens and PRs? I mean, those children already under siblings priority PRs also got in already right?Green-apple:
Catholic High School
Total Vacancy --240
Places Taken Up at Phase 1 -- 91
Vacancy for Phase 2A1 --149
Number of Children Registered --82
Balance 67 will goes to 2A2, finger cross, i can fit into the 67 seat!...
damn stressssssssssss
So wherefore is the citizen priority...? :? -
Yes, thank you for pointing that out.

SC priority over PR only applies for Phase 2C. So if the parents of PR do their PV in their choice school, they will still get priority for Phase 2B
SC priority applies to any phases. So if a PR does PV, they get a chance to register before a citizen who didn’t do PV under P2B. However, with this new rule, they may not get a place despite doing PV. Unless the school that they PV in is not very popular. Then they will compete again in P2C.
A catch here, many schools are associated with church…so many PRs are members of church and they get to register under P2B ahead of SC in P2C. So, the SC has absolute priority over PR is only true during each phase should there be a need to ballot. -
Hi all, I very worried. I have PV for ai tong and will be going for Phase 2B.
Currently, total seats is 330 and results are 1A (150), 2A1 (61), 2A2 (??), 2B(??), 2C (??). If based on last year statistic, 2A2 predict to be 107, then 2B and 2C left only 6 seats each?
Wow, it is less than 10% chance (assuming >60 ballots for each phase). Why like tat? stay less than 1km + doing pv + singapore citizen chances so low????
Sigh, tat is the only \"walking distance\" primary school my daughter can go..... No more neighborhood primary school near my place
Really lost.... if my gal cant get in to Ai Tong.....
