      Yiuong:
Thank you so much for your reply!

Oh my bad, my information is outdated

PLEASE read below excerpt from MOE website:

      Phase 3 Registration

Children who are neither Singapore Citizens nor Singapore Permanent Residents may register at the schools directly under Phase 3. The hours of registration are from 8.00 am to 11.00 am and from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

Balloting will be conducted in Phase 3 if the number of applications exceeds the number of places available. Balloting will be conducted on the day after Phase 3 registration.

With effect from the 2012 Primary One Registration Exercise, for non Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident children who have not been able to obtain a place at their school of choice after the Phase 3 balloting, MOE will post the child to a suitable primary school with vacancy. The posting outcome will be released to the parent a month after the balloting. MOE posting is final and no appeals will be entertained. Schools will also not entertain any walk-in applications.

For CCK/Yew Tee kindergartens, you might want to read up http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=130.

Thanks guys for all the useful tips and reply.

As we have only submitted the PR application for our children last week, which will take 4-6 months to process, does it mean that we won’t be able to register my son duringng Phase 3 as he needs to have some sort of status to stay in the Singapore, for example a student pass or a dependant pass?

              Thanks in advance.

Call MOE hotline, confirm if your son needs to be physically present during registration. I think not, but just to be safe. During registration day, you'll need to bring along the following issued from your native country. You can apply for his study visa with ICA after the application is successful. He can remain in Singapore under a student visa while awaiting his PR application.

                1.The child’s Birth Certificate
                2.The child’s Passport
3.The child’s Immigration Exemption Order / Dependant’s Pass (if any)
4.The child’s Qualifying Test / Admissions Exercise for International Students letter stating that they are eligible for school admission (if any)
                5.Parents’ travel document/Singapore NRIC/Entry or Re-entry Permit/Employment Pass/Work Permit
                6.The child’s Immunisation Certificates

Can someone pls explain how to read the above table? for example, out of total vacancies of 270 for De La Salle, if I take out 106+22, shouldn’t there be 142 available for 2B? why does the table show 71 instead? appreciate any cue for comprehending the above…

                      thanks

balanced vacancies from phase 2a2, are splitted 50:50 between phase 2B and phase 2C. Thus 71 for 2B

Any balanced places from 2B will also go into 2C
