You can chk if the school allow both parents to chip in, then perhaps you do not need to apply for as many leave. When I was pving, my dh did some when my hands were tied with bb.

Certainly am looking forward to it, hopefully this PV experience will reinforce our decision to send her to the school :hi5:

Both my hubby and I are chipping in for PV, so as to lighten each other's load whenever necessary ... of course, we do hope to be able to get a better gauge of the school's culture through involvement in most of the school's activities, even beyond the 40 hours required ๐Ÿ˜„

I am going to join in the fray in 2013 tooโ€ฆfirst child born in 2007โ€ฆ

I registered to be PV for PLMGS last year but received email from themโ€“rejected. I am beginning to feel stressed. We r moving to within 1km of PLMGS by end of this year.

Want to ask if the chances of getting into PLMGS thru Phase 2C is high? <1kmโ€ฆ

                  Dear clioclio

You may like to refer to the past balloting results of schools in Hougange as a reference:

                  http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/hougang

Here's the link for the analysis of P1 registration in 2012 under Phase 2C:

                  http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event/p1-registration-2012-phase-2c

Historically, it looks like balloting will be required if you stay >1km from PLMGS, so if you are moving to within <1km, should not require balloting, but you may like to monitor this year's registration to have a better estimate for next year's situation.

                      under Phase 2C
                      2006, 2007: balloting occured within 1 km.

                      but (2008 to 2011):-
less than 1 km - no ballot.
balloting occurred for (1 to 2) km.
                      outside 2 km: no chance

                      2012
remaining balance of 21 seats from Phase 2B brought forward, making
                      Total (82 + 21) = 103 seats available, for Phase 2C.

                      http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#hougang

                      2011 had 106 seats under Phase 2C.

for plmgs, normally no balloting for less than 1km for phase 2c...but i wonder if things will change coz the school is going single session next year right... will the intake be lesser then
