      29 schools need ballot

29 schools? MOE website never said anything yeah!

You can guess the figures by looking through moe's web page. Those that have more applicants vs vacancies available.
The only breakdown we don't know is the distance and the SC/PR ratio.

To be more accurate, it should be 29 schools have more applicants than vacancies

some schools may not need to ballot, the cut-off by distance may fall nicely to their vacancies.

It's not possible. The remaining vacancies after P2A was divided into 2 for P2B and P2C.
Popular schools will be fully taken up by P2C though. They are the ones not participating in P2Csupp.

My fren called and need to ballot for <1km for Nan chiau

If true, that's amazing! First time I heard need to ballot for <1km in P2B. My son got in P2B (<1km) in 2010. Historical ballot only happened for 1-2km. It seems it's getting tougher yr after yr!
