      Hello,

It’s entirely my fault that I hadn’t bought this earlier for my child, but she’d been admitted into KKH for bronchitis recently and now I’m facing some issues getting a more comprehensive coverage for medishield. So far I’ve only check with one company, so I’d like to seek some recommendations here on which insurance company would be ‘less harsh’…

Hi parents, another effective (for me & family) is taking propolis (pls google if you dont know what it is). It comes in drops or capsule. It’s bitter (drops) but can drop into juice or something. I’ve recommended to many people and it works for them. It is good for boosting immunity, cough and flu.

I let my dds take before exams, or during flu season. It is very good for cough and sore throat. At first (first few times) they complain bitter and i gave them a sweet after taking as they refuse to drop into juice. Subsequently, they take it straight without having to take a sweet.

for sore throat or cough, drops are more effective as the liquid runs through the throat. It is available in Nature’s farm / GNC. Products are usually from Aus/NZ. I dont have a particular brand. Btw, if you buy from Aus/NZ, it will cost you half the price.

          Hi Schen & happyday2,

Sorry for the late reply, coz I was away for a short trip.

The clinic we went to was Herbal-Basic located at Havelock Road, you can find them on Facebook or call them at 6376 2345.

For the Bio-Light Cough Massage Therapy, you need to do it consecutively for 3 to 5 days depending on your child’s condition. My boy did it for 3 days and he recovered well, I think we paid $40 + per visit.

If your objective is to do away with oral medication, be it Western or TCM, this could be a good alternative!

I wish your child recovers soon.
the bio-light therapy is very effective. I am very impressed when my girl got speedy recovery upon using it. can see result even after first treatment.

The virus going round this time has hit many hard.

I visited the GP with kids 5x since last week.
The phlegm and mucus was stuck and i simply could dislodge it :stupid: refused to take antibiotics bcos it makes me tired.
Finally surrendered...saw GP yesterday. The irritating phlegm and mucus came out after I took first antibiotic capsule !!! It's been a while since I had been this sick. Really jialat. This afternoon, I took the medicine and literally knocked out 30 min later.

Sounds so amazing… can someone who have been to this clinic or used BioLight cough treatment tell me how the process is like pls? In my mind I keep thinking that the light penetrate thru the many layers of skin into the lungs and oesophagus and kills off all the virus cells or increase the immunity system…

My DS had a bad cough that went on for weeks too..

Did a chest x-ray and found nothing serious, doctor's advice to stay away from the hazy outdoors for prolonged periods..
Got kiasu and took the flu vaccine liao, heng none of us felt unwell after the jab.. 😄

                    hi auntieM,

I thought I should share about what I know about vaccines. There are not as safe as we think. In fact, they are very harmful due to substances like mercury and aluminium which makes up the vaccines. We sometimes have bad reactions to these vaccines becos of these substances and of course the virus which is in the vaccines. It is especially harmful to our kids as their body and brain are still developing:

                      Thanks for sharing yeng,

But for those that are travelling and at a higher risk.. Bopian would rather take the risk.. ..We had friends who skipped the jabs, and the amount of pain and suffering their kiddos went through.. ..
Quite a lot of people do not take the jab when they travel and managed fine too right.. :xedfingers:

U r most welcome. I just hope I dun come on too strong. I was worried you might get offended. But I just dun want more children to suffer the harmful effects of vaccines unknowingly.

I actually have 2 young girls of my own. We travel once or twice a year with them. We just went to France last Nov braving 5 degree celsius weather. Not so fun for mummy but they had the time of their life at Disney and Walt Studios.

We dun do vaccines but I make sure that I pack their omega and probiotics along:
                        http://iherb.com/p/16304?rcode=yen647
                        http://iherb.com/p/13108?rcode=yen647

Both from natural & safe sources (no mercury in the omega) and prescribed by my naturopath. These 2 are great in boosting immune system apart from a whole host of benefits (I will share them at the end of this post). I give them the omega in the morning and probiotic last thing at night. Probiotic works best on an empty stomach. It is especially useful in the event of food poisoning or diarrhea from eating unclean food which we sometimes encounter on a holiday. In fact, I would say it is my weapon against all the stomach flu which seems to be spreading these few mths 🆒 The only person that repeatedly gets it is my hubby cos he refuses to eat it. lol. Whichever brand of Omega you buy, make sure the fish used to process the Omega is caught from safe waters. If not, we feeding our kids mercury plus omega.

Although on holiday, I also try to control their sugar intake. Sugar is a main culprit in many illness as most mummy already know i'm sure and it also suppresses immune system. I tend to be more lax with food but no cold sugary drinks. I explain to them that it is not worth having the time of your life on a single trip and suffer for weeks after. We also dun do sweets, so I guess that helps.

Illnesses suffered as a result of holidays are short-term but harm from vaccines are forever. Mercury poisoning, autism etc leads to a whole lifetime of problems. Do think twice before reaching for another vaccine. Apologies if I sound too preachy 😂

                        Benefits of probiotics:

                         Lowered cholesterol
                         Inhibition of cancer
                         Protection against food poisoning
                         Protection against stomach ulcers
 Protection against lactose intolerance and casein intolerance
                         Enhanced immunity
 Protection against many harmful bacteria, viruses, and fungi
 Protection against candida overgrowth and vaginal yeast infections
 Prevention and correction of constipation and diarrhea, ileitis and colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and a whole range of other digestive tract dysfunctions
 Improvement in the health and appearance of the skin
 Better nutrition from improved absorption and the internal generation of B vitamins.
 Protection against vaginosis and yeast infections

                        Benefits of Omega3:
                        Heart and Cardiovascular System
Make your kid smarter (Mental system)
                        Increase focus.
                        Improve vision.
                        Boost mood.
                        Enhance immunity.
                        Prevent eczema.
