Hi, I have never give my kids Amercian Ginseng before. How to give ? Where do you normally buy.Can someone pls advise me. Thanks

Hi, I normally buy it from the chinese medicine shop (one that I always patronize). The sinseh will recommend me the ginseng and helps to grind it into powdery form. Though the sinseh tells me i can give it to her almost daily, I never. I give my DD 3 times a week, in the morning before she takes her breakfast. A teaspoon amount mix with some drinking water, and let my DD drink it in a gulp.... Especially during exam period, I will give her more often. 😂

I got mine in sachet format which my friend brings back from America. Quick and easy.

My DD has so much sch hw + tuition hw to complete, simply cannot find much time to do past year exam papers even she wants to... Dare not ask her to study too late every night as well. I always believe enough hours of sleep is also very important so that they will not fall sick easily... Sometimes really see them very pitiful, but we just have to bear with it... 2 more months to go!!!!

It's really pitiful to see son having to finish to much hw. Rest is very impt...even for us adults, if we are tired, we would be looking at the same paragraph for 30 min and nothing will be absorbed.
Once a while, I keep my son at home to study at home.

4 more weeks to PSLE oral. Try taking \"Luo Han Guo\" drinks and star fruit and pineapple juice. If feverish, boil green bean water. That is boil water and after boiled, switch off the fire. Put green bean and cover for 15 min. After 15 min, pour the water and ready to drink. This also helps to cool body.

              Take care all PSLE kids!
Hi 😄 thanks for the sharing! Just want to ask if the green beans have to be soaked beforehand?

No chicken essense for us - too heaty. Am giving her American Ginseng instead - it's cooling and perfect for our HOT weather.
Hi Peony, do you know if Korean Ginseng has the same effect? I bought quite a few bottles of them during a Korean trip 😄

No matter what, they are still kids....We adults when we go to work, will also apply leave to relax and rest, not to mention them!

Hi, am no expert, but I think Korean Ginseng is heaty.

I keep my son to revise at home once a week. Will let him sleep till 8am…then we have breakfast before revising. Regarding hw, I will inform the teachers he will try to get them done.

As for American ginseng, I bought eu ren sang…sachet type. This morn, we shared a cup as we were rather tired. It’s really hard to strike a balance of how much is enough. But studying at home has the advantage of comfort.

I sat PSLE two years ago, now sec 2 in IP school. My advice is don’t overstress the kid, just let him or her try his or her best. DSA is useful and if the kid gets a place during DSA it takes a lot of pressure off him or her. Don’t overstretch the child, if you tell the kid to do something that you / him knows he cannot do, then his motivation and confidence will plummet and he will not do as well. All parents will be worried, but if the parent is over-worried the kid will be very stressed.

Supplements like ginseng may or may not help, but I don’t think there’s any scientific proof that it helps.

                        -Typed from previous experience-
