After Mary gave 2 bookmarks to June, Mary had 3 times as many bookmarks as June.
How many bookmarks did June have at first?

Is the answer 8?

I just use excel. then copy and paste in paint and save it as a file. Then upload using the tiny pic.

Experts use much nicer and colourful models, havent asked them what they use till now ...

That's pretty much what I do too.

But I fill the boxes with colours...hence more colourful.
