写作栏--《大拇指》有《小作家》版。我跟女儿借来看，第 40 期（11月）的《小作家》已经是今年的最后一期了。投稿也许是其中的一个途径。写日记也是。电脑时代，也许可以让孩子们学写博客。

华文报
我会坚持我的女儿看华文报和华文书。昨天刚去了图书馆。《早报》比较合适。《晚报》和《新明》的标题有时有点“儿童不宜”。

同意你的看法--我们学习语文得轻松一点。只是在我前面的帖子，我说可以通用，其实不然，为了不要误倒他人，就把百度的抄来。我也不懂什么是状语、定语、谓语、补语。

I hope the other parents (members of the forum) are not put off by the Chinese postings here because the idea is to make this a learning platform. I don't mean to make it so \"serious\" about the differences of 突然 and 忽然. At first I thought both can be used interchangeably. After looking at the information from Baidu, I thought I should copy them here so that people know that in fact there are some differences. 《突然》和《忽然》nan.nan - thank you for your research. I am clearer now. I wondered about their differences because they seem to be interchangable ie the same. However, if they are the same then why 2 different words..I wanted to clarify my understanding. To me, this is very interesting and not so \"serious\". I may or may not explain the differences to my son..it depends on whether the need arise during our revision but I also will not go into 状语、定语、谓语、补语

我孩子的学校替学生订购的是<<知识画报》。不过，不是强制所有华文学生都得订购。今年的华文老师说不是每个同学都有订购，所以也没有在上课的时候要学生阅读这画报。一整年的画报，我替他file(how to say in chinese) 得漂漂亮亮,心里一直在纳闷浪费了订购的钱。现在受到的鼓舞，我把画报都拿出来，趁学校假期和孩子一起看，能看多少就多少。

我也想知道《大拇指》适合多大的孩子？文章有趣吗?

我女儿的学校一向只帮他们订阅《好朋友》（还是《新朋友》？）。我希望明年的老师会帮学生订《大拇指》。普通的报摊真的没卖吗？好奇怪噢！
