Be a mom:
Dear mummy, what the better way we can do within this mth to help our Dearkids? more paper to do? or rest? just revise back her/him mistake????

Don't have to do more papers. Just go through mistakes & get a good rest. I don't push my boy anymore. He already have enough homework from school. Still need to go back to school during holidays. I just give him lot of barley water & water chestnut water to make sure that he will not fall sick.

I only continue to ask my DD to do papers for Maths as I think Maths need to constantly practice. As for the rest of the subjects, we only focus on areas that she is weak in. E.g for English, we concentrate on synthesis, compre cloze, and Science, focus on specific topics that she is weak, and continue to read up and look through the mistakes that she had made in the papers.

But all these said are easier than done, as her teachers are still piling up with practice papers for them to do. At times, revision are very minimal and weekends are used to complete homework! During Sept break, she still has to go back for extra lessons!

A friend’s son said his nanyang prelim math this year was tough…son told me his school math prelim and Chinese were tough too…told him forget it, just move on. 2moro science…prelim results will only be out after sep holidays.

With every new education minister, there will be changes. So mummies with kids in lower Pri, do not worry just yet.

Does anyone have contact to buy the prelim papers? My sister-in-law needs it for her P6 child.

Yes, exactly 1 month to the first paper...ENGLISH.
After today, it's ramping up.
For Math, it's really about practise. So I told son his tuition hw must be completed...for other subjects, I can compromise.

Have been keeping quiet and just reading the forum all this while. But I think I need an outlet to vent my frustration. My girl’s form teacher has been on medical leave once every fortnight this year. The worst was the teacher was on MC the day before the PSLE Oral Exam and last Friday before their Prelims today. I have no choice but to take more leave than I plan. Teacher teaches the class English, Math and Science. So far they wrote very few compositions and some are not even returned. I am tempted to write a complaint letter but then think it is going to be the end of the year.

It must have been tough on you as a working mum...to have to follow up so closely and take more leave. Son's past week had been spent revising for prelim every night. Nothing else could be done. It's sheer madness :frustrated: ...but I know everyone is going through the same thing.
With PSLE exactly 1 month to go, have you considered taking leave during the Sep holidays to accompany your child ?
I received a sms that the 2012 top school prelim papers will be ready by next week. Will any parents be buying for their kids to do? At this point of time (exactly 4 weeks to go), should we just focus on areas they are weak at or continue to do practice papers? :scratchhead:

2012 prelim??? :yikes:
That's fresh out from the oven !!
With just 4 weeks to go, I won't buy anymore.
Still have many sets of 2011 undone.

My dd has finished most of the 2011 prelim papers especially Maths & English. So I am hesitating should I buy more to add more load to her at this point of time. Sometimes, too much may backfire!
May I please have your contact for 2012 prelim papers for sale? I need them.
