The Learning Lab

Laurenwkids:
Ok understood..so from now on, no more discussion on TLL, anyone wants to talk about TLL, thread will be locked? They tell Chief take away posts, like that they also sabo themselves, now no one talks about them..
silence means guilty as charged ?  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: -
No lah, I still believe in them, it is also quite hard for them to defend themselves, seems to be overly defensive in that case. But sad that they ask the post or thread to be removed.
Good or bad posts, I think it is really an individual’s experience that counts and it helps parents like us to read posts that gives us some idea of how it is like. Now, no post, no thread. Perhaps, they should not have asked ChiefKiasu to remove. -

like no discussion allowed is even worse! people would imagine it to be worsest (learn from better, betterer, betterest) to warrant total censorship. -
I would like to receive feedbacks from parents who enrol their children for Primary 1 class. What is the minimum criteria to get in and how much is the fee? To what extent does your child benefit from the enrichment in TLL?
-
Any parents here have any feedback on The Learning Lab? Their fees are very steep…Are they worth the while?

Whats the difference between TAS and the Learning Lab’s appraoch to teaching English? TAS also have entry exams?

Learning Lab gives difficult words or phrases for creative writing and asks the children to write a story linking those words.
TAS teaches the techniques, like how to vary sentence structure, use metaphors etc and they will remind kids how to use good vocab in different compos so in that sense the kids can remember the phrases.
I find TAS methods are more systematic but Learning Lab would probably benefit those who are self-motivated.
Both centres are good in their own ways. This is just what I feel based on what i have heard and experienced. -
Thanks for precious, valuable feedback, Laurenwkids
much appreciated !
:thankyou: -
OH dear. I was directed to this thread as well. Can u pls share w us what happened?

TLL ah,
why so afraid of critism or feedback if you are in the service industry.
My 2 kids are with your centre for 3 years now. Still no improvement with their English as terms go by.
But I still pay as terms go by. I don’t know why seems I can’t find an alternative centre for my kids whom they enjoy going to your centre.
Even though friends ask me how is your centre, I just say ‘like that lor’, ‘some kids can score some kids can’t score’.
No need to be afraid with forum feedback. Still so many students join your centre what. Definitely it is like water flow, some out and some in.
