      2centsworthy:
\"F\" class is BEST... \"E\" is 2nd best... after that it is all average classes .. so no worst class. Hope that helps. Hope they are not changing that next year.

By the way, if I'm not mistaken, in p5/p6, I understand that 10+ boys who are taking Foundation level subjects have been in the \"A\" class.

        Hi NicHei,

How did you get your boy a transfer into CHS? I tried to do a transfer for my boy for P2 next year. Put him on waiting list and sent CHS all the results and certificates, but reply was \"no vacancy\".
Hi, did the same as you. Submitted the waiting list and all his results etc. I heard that P1 and P2 difficult to get transfer, as the class size is fixed, unless got students transferred out of CHS. For P3, the class size gets bigger, not sure if it is true. Dun give up, submit again. THanks

I counted that in the p4 non-gep cohort for this year, there are already 18 more boys than there first was when they started out in p1. Oh well, some DID transfer out too and some went into the GEP classes. So there are plus/minus here and there.

Yes, don't give up. 2 of dd's old classmates managed to transfer to CHS only at P3, prob due to larger classes fm P3 onwards.

In theory only, differs year to year.

                P1, P2 and P3, 7 classes of 30, total 210.
Usually full after P1 registration / before P1 starts. Sometimes some went missing even at first day of P1 😄 Some leave because parent need to work oversea. Some leave because cannot cope with the level of \"stress\" at school.

P4 onwards, 1 more class added due to non CH GEP students from other school, so in principle can take in 240. But 2 of the class (CH GEP and non CH GEP) are GEP and usually not fill to full capacity and non GEP are not allowed.

In my boys cohort (next year's P6), the number of CH GEP is very low, so now the other 6 class numbers are like this, 39, 39, 31, 32, 31, 31.

Getting into CH after registration / P1 / P2 / etc is case to case basis. Very good school result helps a lot.

So there is no good/bad time to get into CH.

If I’m not wrong, these class size apply to all primary schools - P1 and P2 30 students per class, P3 onwards class size increase to 40 students.

                    Not very sure other schools.

But CH every year P1 only take in only max 210.

My boy’s class stays 20+ from P1 to P4 due to reasons I have mentioned even with the pluses and minus. P5 is 31.

Just got the buttons for the uniform. Ask a silly question, do you remove the buttons everyday, before washing?

ha ha ha ... good question ...

In my days, I used to take the buttons out from the uniform everyday and my mum wash it. Was poor and try to save money by not buying extra set.

Well, now, I guess we are doing a lot better now and also kids and us alike getting lazier, we buy sets of buttons and just wash as it is. Button spoil or shirt get stain, throw away. If button jam in washing machine (not happen before as we put in washing bag), ha ha ha... good luck, time to change washing machine.

It really up to you.
