i am trying to diy my hk trip n see if can save

more without gg through agency.
i can manage to bk all hotel n air tickets but i
am thinking how to bk airport transfer to hotel n back to
airport cos agency will arrange that.
any one can share experience or advice on when n how to bk this??

many thanks appreciated..

Take their airport express, or airport bus.
We took bus A21 to Jordan MTR (45min) . Only thing is u have to pull the luggage onto the bus.

HK public transport is even better than Singapore's standard. (frequency, connectivity, and reliability)
We can live without cabs for most of our itinerary.

thanks for all the inputs ppl..
but i am travelling with 4A2C.
so taxi would be inconnvenient??
is there any directions to the airport bus?
usually when i come out i saw the MTR stn.....
and cos disney is always my first stop, is there any
transport i can bk at their hotel to travel to city hotel?
i wonder is there a sg maxi cab type in hk where i can bk..

thanks once again and sry for my long questions..
I went with 4A2C as well. can fit in the cab. they can seat 5person. 1 thing to note is that the taxi drivers duno locations...you have to tell them the street name of the place where you want to go. I told them go TIM HO WAN, they duno where. must tell street name at shum shui po then they know.

is it better to stay in Hong kong island or tst? we intend to visit the peak, ocean park, Macau. not very keen on the night markets or times square

Personally I like HK island. More pleasant atmosphere not so 复杂。 I find TST less pleasant and more 复杂。 Somehow more foreign workers loitering around there too. Furthermore Ocean Park, Peak, Stanley are all on HK Island. As I had kids, I also did not visit night markets on Kowloon side during my most recent trip. After our stay at Crown Plaza Causeway Bay, we stayed another 2 nights at Disneyland Hotel and went Nong Ping 360 from there. If I go HK again, I'll do the same thing.

almost the same as my 1st trip minus disney.

so i gather u no like shopping?

french fries:
Hi mamemo & mummy of 2,

Thanks for sharing the infor.

I shortlisted the following hotels:-

YMCA > wanna book but all rm type fully booked for the date I require
Royal park > read that it quite a distance & ned to cross a bridge to MTR? My 4 yrs old quite lazy to walk so might be an issue.
Prudential > gd location but ned to climb few flight of escalator to the hotel lobby & cost aro $320/nite
Cityview > price seem reasonable & location ok but room too small for family of 4 so still considering

So now I still searching....
cityview if u wan can get their premier room. sure gt space.

or take the chance for them to upgrade ur superior to premier when u checkin. they upgrade 1 of my 2 rooms to premier.

The girl no energy to walk. I shop in HK when on biz trip more efficient! Unfortunately seldom go in the last 2 yrs 😞
Maybe need to wait for my girl to be older then have kaki to go shopping 🙂

Hi

We will be going to HK in Nov. I’ve booked CHI Residences. We have 2A3C.
Will be staying in Disneyland and Macau.

Hi,

Can anyone advise whether it’s worthwhile to stay at HK Disneyland Hotel cos the prices are really very steep? Or anyone can advise where can I get a better rate for booking of hotel rooms at HK Disneyland?

We stayed at Hollywood (cheaper than Disneyland).
The only consolation for the higher price is it comes with entry-tickets.
(We were lucky they had a 2nd day Disney-entry free promotion during our stay)

I am not saying the rates are cheap, but the experience and the breakfast-with-Stars at Disneyland-Hotel will leave the kids (and parents) spell-bound for a long time. We stayed one night and played 2 days at Disney.

We book direct.

Love it. Great theming. Big rooms. Character breakfast, Disney character dim sum, my little princess dress up. It's great :boogie:
