Teachers in my school also said,\"NO STICKER,YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT BRING IN ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES SUCH AS YOUR CALCULATOR AND DICTIONARY!\" I was like :yikes: when I first heard it. They also said that if the students bring the devices(w/o stickers), names will most likely be in the discrepancy list. Better keep fingers crossed and hope nothing goes wrong on the actual day. :xedfingers: 🙏

Hi Studious Aliens, the certification exercise completed for my DD’s school. You may wish to follow-up with the school.

My son brought his calculator to school for that precious sticker...he told me only one calculator allowed for use...asked him to bring 2  no choice, kiasu and kiasi. As for the e-dictionary, son told me it is approved model and so no sticker necessary. In any case, I will ask him to bring extra batteries.

Gosh :nailbite: the countdown begins. 😓

Really, can they take e- dictionary? DD never mentioned. Which model is approved? Thanks in advance.

              Hi lakshmi,

I believe what Janet is referring to is Chinese e-dictionary 😄

Seriously, I do not understand the discrepancy in school practices on this. After reading the posts here, I wrote to my dd's FT on whether the school has to verify the students' calculators and e dictionaries and to paste stickers. She replied no stickers are needed and the teachers had already verified during the prelim exam.

My dd can bring two calculators and e dictionaries into the exam.

Stickers are not necessary if your child's calculator is the same model as his or her classmates. As long as you are using those models approved & recommended by the MOE.

I totally agree that stickers are not necessary. But it looks like some schools, like Janet's ds school, are over-doing it. Not only they have stickers, they even restrict the number of calculators / e dictioneries to bring into the exam hall.

TOUCHWOOD. Nobody expects the unexpected to happen, right?
A friend of mine told me her daughter's spectacle frames cracked suddenly (of all days) on the 1st day of her PSLE.
Both of my son's calculators are approved models. What's wrong bringing both? :stompfeet:
