Heard Rivervale Primary had organised the moon cake festival last Saturday. Can any ksp feedback what are the activities abt?

Mooncake festival celebration is a yearly event in RV. There will be performances, games, haunted house etc, nothing great.

nothing great with haunted house. Alumni people who organised.

only the queue system is very disorganised every year. Let’s say, one person queued up in front of you. When that person’s turn to go in the haunted house, out of no where appeared so many ‘friends’ together with that person.

And those alumni also let them went in scot free without queuing up.

Thanks. I pass by the school that day and saw bustling activities, even heard the lion dance sound. Thought it was something kind of ‘big event’ happening.

This was from rivervale primary newsletter:

                http://i48.tinypic.com/2agninr.jpg\">

Why was only selected P4 students parents need to attend?
Be it either meeting parents of weaker students or stronger students, aren't this going to affect students thinking/self-esteem?

Their 5A & 5B were known for the best class in the cohort. And the rest were being stream accordingly.
Again, why 5E, 5F & 5G parents do not need to attend? what does this mean?

not sure if these were the foundation classes, if it is, aren't this discrimination?
just wanna to know the rational behind this arrangement. do other schools adopt this way too?

It is quite common that the 2nd \"Meet the Parents\" session may not include all classes. In most cases, teachers will meet students who do not perform well. Myabe you can ask the sch P or VPs

Hi.. I'm new here, my child is in P1 nx yr.

Single session std timing is fm 7.40am to 1.50pm. I'm curious abt the extended hours required for P1 for CCA and remedial lessons, which can stretch to 4.15pm. Is it a std practice in schools, even at such young age?

                        FYI, below 2013 Rivervale timetable..
