Should I bring my daughter along for the orientation?

Yes, pls bring your daughter along.

She'll get to know who are her new Primary 1 Form teacher(s), get to know who are her new classmates, introduce herself to rest of her classmates. Your daughter will get to familiarize herself with her new school premises compound / environment - like know where to go to the toilet, go to canteen buy food / drinks, pay $, check whether canteen operator pay her back correct $ change, know where to go to bookshop buy books, stationery, etc.

While your child is inside the classroom, Principal will brief parents sitting inside the hall - what to expect, when new Term start January 2013 P1. After briefing, you may go down your child's classroom, collect back your child, greet \"Hello\" to your child's new P1 form teacher(s).

Thanks Allanice. I'm glad to hear that the after school care is good. I intend to register her for the after school care as we are both working it is difficult to go through her homework and revise her spelling or tingxie.

Is your girl on the school bus as well? Able to share how much you pay, what time is pick up and drop off. I know it depends on distance, i just want to get an idea.

remington and foreverj, my dd also starting P1 next year.
        hi Hi.

Haven't been logging into KSP lately....
My girl doesn't take school bus coz we send her to school everyday. I'm sure you will be able to find out from the transport com (RS ) on the transport service. I thk some parents there had provided the contact no.

I'm sure you and dd muz be looking forward for the upcoming orientation 😄 I was like you before. Meanwhile, enjoy her preschool life , coz she's going to promote into another stage of learning journey soon :rahrah:

Hi all 2013 Primary 1 parents. (Welcome to have parents of other level joining in as well.) My name is Joseph and my DD is going into primary 1 next year. So far, we have 2 outing and am glad that the kids are comfortable with one another. For the next 8 weeks, we have come out with weekly outing schedule that we hope it will be fun and interactive for the kids. I hope that you are able to join us. The first one would be this Sat (23/Sep 4.30pm) where we will do a Photography-Treasure-hunt at the botanical garden. Parents must accompany your kids as this program is not run by commercial entity. For good fun, we will sponsor small prizes. Please RSVP @ 97405553 with your contact and I will give you more information as to where to meet.

Objective: Have FUN & get to know friends.
Learning point: Being Meticulous and Observant.
          Fact Learning: Nature & Science
Please bring a camera for your child and be prepared not to yell at her if your child dropped it.

          Have a good week ahead.

          Cheers
          Joseph

Does anyone know how the school plans to celebrate Children’s Day next Thursday? Will there be any lessons?

                Hi jacsplace,

not sure since there is no official announcement yet. Guess it should be same as before i.e. some lessons before recess, concert after recess followed by early dismissal.

                    Hello parents.

Info from transport Company, they had ceased the service for the student care. Is this confirmed? Any idea if the student care has any alternative transport arrangement? Kindly advise.
