Jamesbond:
Question 4:

Libby read her story book from pg 3 to pg 9 on Monday.
a) How many pages did she read?
b) If she continues to read from pg 10 to pg 98 on Tuesday, how many pages did she read in all from Monday to Tuesday?

a) 9-3=6

b) For tue
98-10= 88
Altogether --- 88+6=94.

sorry to interrupt...
when we count manually from 3 to 9 we get 7
that means 9-3+1=7
so this way 98-10+1=89
total 96?
:slapshead: Oops...I just overlooked....careless....Yes u r right. :imsorry:

Pl help me to solve this...........
Breadth = 105 x (5/7) = 75m
Perimeter =
= 2 x {(105 -1-1) + ( 75 -1-1)}
= 352m

For area
Method 1
Area of footpath
=Total area - area of garden
= 105 x 75 - [( 75 -1-1) x (105 -1-1) - (2 x 4) ]
= 364 square meters
Method 2

Area of footpath
= [ 2 x 105 x 1 ] + [ 2 x (75 -1-1) ] + (2 x 4)
= 364 square meters

Let me try

Breath of park = length X 5/7 = 105 X 5/7 = 75

Perimeter of garden = [(length of park -1 -1) + (breath of park -1 -1)] X 2 = (103 + 73) X 2 = 352m

Area of footpath (divide up the shaded area into rectangles) (one way to divide up shaded area into rectangles) = 105 + 105 + 73 + 73 + (4 X 2) = 364m2

can someone guide me this question?

thanks in advance.
If Vera gives Bala 2 stickers, he will have the same number of stickers as Vera.
If Bala gives Vera 2 stickers, Vera will have 5 times as many stickers as Bala.
How many stickers does each of them have respectively?
