Ms Chua Soh Leng will bring PLMGPS to greater heights. She has done quite a lot for Punggol Primary School and I believe she will inject some fresh ideas into the school.
Principals are key to shaping and strengthening the traditions and ethos of the schools. They lead and inspire teachers, and work with parents and the community to prepare our young for the future. As the front-line contact between MOE and the public and parents, Principals play an important role in furthering their understanding of school programmes and the education system.
The process of systematically appointing and rotating Principals allows schools to benefit from the infusion of fresh perspectives and enables experienced Principals to share best practices in support of ‘Every School, a Good School’. It also gives the Principals the opportunity to take on different challenges as part of their career development. -

For new P1 parents,
Thought to share that the P1 Maths Text Book aren’t available yet and it will be available during the orientation day onwards. Usually, it is rather crowded and packed on P1 orientation day.
If you are wondering what kind of stationery is required, the girls tend to use mechanical pencil from term 2 onwards so you can prep if you want to. -

My child is not from Punggol Primary, still young. I know of friends' children studying in Punggol Primary as well as friends' children studying in PLMGPS. I only hope PLMGPS those older traditional type of teachers do not continue their old practice of not allowing children to go for recess, asked the children to slap their own faces. Sorry to shock you but these were what I heard.

Interesting and a little shocking as so far I haven't heard anything negative from parents whom I know from P2 to P6 in PL.
As for DD1, she has been just receiving TLC all these time so her FT is like her fav person.
As for stories, I do hear \"shocking stores\" about other schools as well but I take it with a pinch of salt as I don't know the full details nor the full version of it , unless my DDs are in that school encountered it
For your friends, I am sure the respective parents would have given their feedback if those incidents did happen -
When a new principal takes over, she has to command the respect of teachers who are older than the principal. No doubt the current principal has done a great job all these years, but will the new principal be able to command that same "respect" that senior older teachers gave to the current principal. Only time will tell.

My dd is in P4 of PLMGS. I am a happy parent of PLMGS and I find the teachers to be loving and nurturing :love:
