mummyscorpio,
The book is 字形画, there are 3 sets. For each chi char there’s an explanation of the make-up of the chi char to help remember the char, the number of strokes, the strokes sequence, the 组词, 词语搭配, 造句, a way to remember the char and how the char was written over the yrs. -

Constant nagging doesn't work for me lor... :siam:mummyscorpio,
Don't lose heart... Cheer up ok.. SAHM is right.. Chinese character can be explained like drawing a picture.. As for the careless mistakes, dd does it ALL THE TIME... Hmmmm.... Constant nagging will help in some ways bah.. This is what I am doing but dunno if it works...
:hugs: -
Thank you very much for all the encouragement…
Sahm… I have all these books… And the teaching aids…
I think it’s about our attitude… I gets very impatient when i find him not absorbing… On the other hand… I think his dislikes for Chinese is making him auto shut down when it cames to Chinese work… his teacher is an untrained teacher… And he is in the last class… Teacher struggling to control the class and think he ignore and do whatever he wants -
If u can swim, may not guarantee that u can teach your kid how to swim too.
Likewise, teaching other children is easier than teaching your own. (less expectation?)
But doesn't mean we shld set lower expectation for our kids.
Just have to balance parenting and teaching roles.
Outsourcing teaching role with better resources is always an option.
