Hi, discovered this forum whilst searching online for more info on ACS(P).
My son will be joining the ACS family (as did his dad, grand-dad and uncle) next year, 2013 batch.

Does anyone know when the P1 booklist will be out? And do the kids only have to use the school exercise books, or those available at Popular (as I recall some other parent mentioning in earlier threads)?

Btw, my son's room for Orientation is 2H...

Can't wait! Already ordered his uniforms and he is so excited with his new school bag, pencil case, shoes etc... And I was pleased to find out that the school is using the MC Shaping Maths series...not that My Pals isn't good, but Shaping Maths is more advanced

Also, my DS is singing the ACS anthem ard the house already!! His grand-dad sure is enthusiastic, egg-ing him on to sing along...hahaha...

Thanks for the reply on the exercise books. Will just get the ACS ones first, and see how it goes in the future. After all I'm sure there will be a mad rush to buy the books and all on that day!

btw, anyone knows what ACS(P) sports/CCA accolades are?

Attended the P1 Orientation with my son yesterday…Still not used to that guy who is going to be the principal of all the 'churl-dren"…he seems harmless but doesn’t appear to be the stereotypical AC-type principal.

Personal felt he’s a very nice and easy going person, very approachable.

i was used to stricter and more eloquent ACS primary, secondary and JC principals…

Actually, other than the principal being a little long-winded, I was pleased he had a sense of humour and seemed approachable and humble. For primary schools, it is impt that the principal seems approachable as the boys are still young...discipline is one thing, but we don't want the boys being too fearful of the principal...anyhow, to each his own...but i think the activities planned for the boys during the orientation were too boring/mild. My son said all they did was watch a movie and draw, other than a short tour ard campus.


I do commend the PSG members...very helpful and friendly, and not at all too pushy! :boogie:

1. generally how do the GEP boys fair for PSLE? What is the T-Score range?
2. I want my DS to try out HCL, how is HCL in ACS GEP?
3. Do all IP program, even in ACSI, need HCL?

Same here, am considering for my DS as well. Can anyone provide a rough statistics on how many went via DSA ?
